Defending World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Champion, Jason Meyers, is on the right track towards a second consecutive WoO title. The Clovis, California native is currently on top of the Outlaws standings entering this weekend’s ‘World Finals’ at the Dirt Track at Charlotte.
Jason is obviously no stranger to victory lane at the North Carolina venue. In fact, Meyers swept last year’s World Finals by winning both of the $10,000-to-win features at the season ending event. Action kicks off Thursday, November 3rd with qualifying time trials.
Meyers has a 264 point lead entering this weekend over former WoO Champion, Donny Schatz. Meyers is tied with Steve Kinser and Craig Dollansky for having the most wins on the tour this year (9), while also leading all drivers with 40 top 5′s, 54 top 10′s, and 11 fast time awards.

The All-Star Circuit of Champions regional competitor will travel south to The Dirt Track at Charlotte to do battle with the greatest sprint car drivers on the planet for two full nights of competition worth $10,000.
The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series is hosting the annual ‘World Finals’ this weekend, with many of the nations top teams planning to participate. Holtgraver, who was the 2010 Lernerville Speedway Track Champion, will be participating in all three scheduled evening’s; which is set to begin Thursday night, November 3rd – and conclude on Saturday, November 5th.
The 410 sprint cars, which will be joined by the super late models and big block modifieds on all three dates, will have two rounds of qualifying time trials on Thursday evening to set the lineups for the Friday and Saturday portions of the program. Friday and Saturday, November 4th and 5th, will each be two full programs boasting the usual $10,000 World of Outlaws winner’s share.
Holtgraver spent much of his 2011 season on the road with the All-Star Circuit of Champions; where he finished 4th in the final ‘Ohio Region’ standings, and seventh in the national points chase. He will look to close 2011 with two solid finishes with the “Greatest Show on Dirt.”
