Brian Montieth Winner at Williams Grove Speedway – Feature Results!

Montieth Gets Over $5,000 For Regular Williams Grove Win, Takes Second In A Row

Eric Tomecek wins over Wilson in 358 sprint championship

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

6/29/12

 =================================

Mechanicsburg, PA – For the second week in a row, Brian Montieth of Phoenixville drove to victory in the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint car feature at Williams Grove Speedway and this week, he took home over $5,000 for his checkers.

In the Tool Shed of America 358 sprint extra-distance championship main, Eric Tomecek came out the winner after a spirited late race duel with Ryan Wilson and became the seventh winner in as many races at the track.

Montieth started from the inside of the fourth row in the 25-lap 410 sprint main and had Gerard McIntyre Jr. leading the way when the green flag fell.

The first of many cautions in the race came out with only two laps down and Montieth lined up third for the restart.

Two more laps and another caution found Montieth lining up second behind McIntyre for a restart but he didn’t challenge for the lead at first.

Instead, he made his first move for the win on the ninth lap with a sweeping slider in the first and second turns that backfired when he jumped the cushion instead of catching it, allowing McIntyre to drive back into command.

He made the same move stick on the next circuit when he repeated it, only this time in turns three and four.

And right after he passed McIntyre for the lead, McIntyre promptly backed his car into the outside rail between the first and second corners, unfurling another yellow flag.

The race for fifth brought out another caution with 13 away when 12th starter Sheldon Haudenschild went after 16th starter Alarn Krimes for the spot entering the third turn.

Both men backed their cars into the outside fence and collected Fred Rahmer.

Another yellow flag with nine laps left turned red for refueling and it would be the last slowing of the race pace.

Brent Marks ended up second after racing into the spot behind Montieth back on lap four.

Tenth starter Danny Dietrich came on late to finish third followed by Greg Hodnett and Cory Haas.

Sixth through 10th went to Chad Layton, Lance Dewease, Don Kreitz Jr., Tyler Walker and Davey Sammons.

Montieth naturally claimed $3,600 for the posted win and then thanks to a lucky roll of the prize winning dice in victory lane, he upped his total another $1,000 to $4,600.

That coupled with an already posted bonus of $500 for winning from the fourth row plus $160 in lap money put his final earnings for the regular feature at $5,260.

Heats for the 25-car field went to Hodnett, Walker and Adam Wilt with Steve Buckwalter scoring the consolation race.

Tomecek of Abbottstown started 10th in the 25-lap 358 sprint championship worth $1,200 to win.

Todd Berkheimer took the early lead from the second spot followed by Brian Garland.

Eighth starter Ryan Wilson drove into third on just the first lap and was soon followed by Tomecek into fourth.

The first 18 laps of the race went non-stop with Wilson driving by Berkheimer for the lead with 10 away only to see Tomecek follow him through and into second two laps later.

Tomecek quickly closed on Wilson and tried a 16th lap slider that failed, allowing Wilson to reclaim control while leaving Tomecek a full straightway back after he was able to recover from a brush by Wilson that saw him loop his car and keep going.

Tomecek’s saving grace came with 18 in the books when the first caution flag appeared and erased the massive advantage he had just given Wilson when he looped his car.

On the restart Tomececk took the lead from Wilson but Wilson never gave up his bid for a career first Grove win.

He traded the lead several times with Tomececk, both before and after a red flag with two to go for a flipping Brie Hershey.

But in the end, Tomececk took Williams Grove career victory number four.

Wilson was second followed by 15th starter Adrian Shaffer, Kevin Nouse and Garland.

Sixth through 10th went to Jay Galloway, Nate Hammaker, Rocky Magaro, Dale Hammaker and Berkheimer.

Heats for the 19-car field went to Wilson and Tomecek.

Williams Grove returns to action with back to back nights of PA Speedweek action on July 5 and 6 at 7:30 pm.

Bruce Hammers Down at Hammer Hill for ASCS National Win!

Bruce Hammers Down at Hammer Hill

Bryan Hulbert – Little Rock, Arkansas (June 29, 2012) Fortune shined on Tony Bruce Jr. at I-30 Speedway as the Oil Medics/Pro Auto No. 18 wired the field after the redraw put the Liberal, Kansas driver on the pole of the preliminary night’s twenty-five lap feature event.

“Everything came together tonight” commented a content Tony Bruce Jr. just moments before a heat soaked engine forced a coolant hose to rupture on the front straight-a-way. “We’ll get that fixed and see what we can do tomorrow”

Getting the jump into the lead, Bruce would pull to a comfortable advantage. Batting into the runner up spot on the opening laps, Jason Johnson would position his MVT/Roush Yates Ford No. 41 on the high side of the quarter-mile oval to being gaining on Tony Bruce Jr.

Slowing for the spun No. 23b of Brian Bell on lap eleven, Bruce would again begin to pull away as Johnson had to contend with the No. 26m of Marshall Skinner. Fight into the runner up spot, Skinner worked around the infield tires as Johnson continued to buzz the high line.

Pulling past the halfway point, Johnson would re-assume second as the race for fourth began to get dicey with Gary Wright trying to hold off the charge of thirteenth starting Wayne Johnson and sixth starting Johnny Herrera.

Motoring by for fourth, the Oil Medics/Super Shox No. 77x wasted no time taking over third from Skinner. Finding series rival Jason Johnson in a near spin with just under ten laps to run, Wayne was in the hunt before the caution lights blinked on again for Bell’s 23b.

Back to green for a six lap dash to the finish, Bruce again wasted no time pulling away as Wayne Johnson pulled off the pass for second but would run out of time to attempt on run for the lead as Tony Bruce Jr. sailed to his third win of the 2012 season.

Wayne Johnson would settle for runner up honors as Jason Johnson, after falling back to sixth on the last restart, fought back to third with Gary Wright rounding out the drivers locked into Saturday’s feature event as Marshall Skinner rounding out the top five.

Johnny Herrera would claim sixth with Brady Bacon moving up from ninth to claim seventh. Seth Bergman advanced four spots to take eighth with A.G. Rains and Dalton Davis completing the top ten.

Madsen Takes Top Honors at Belleville High Banks
The Australian wins his second World of Outlaws feature in the last six races

BELLEVILLE, Kan. – June 29, 2012 – Kerry Madsen was as patient as anyone during the nearly 90-minute delay for track work prior to Friday’s feature.
Once he hit the track, it was a different story. Madsen picked up his second World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series victory in the past six races to cap a blistering day that featured temperatures in the triple digits at Belleville High Banks.

“That was well worth the wait,” he said with a big smile. “The track was awesome, wide open around the cushion.”

Madsen started sixth in the 25-lap feature – only the third ever for the World of Outlaws at the famed high-banked, half-mile oval – but didn’t stay there long. He secured fourth place on the third lap and slid Joey Saldana in turn four for third place on lap six.

Madsen rocketed to the runner-up position on a restart midway through the race before a caution on lap 16 provided a unique opportunity. Polesitter Sammy Swindell, who built a sizeable lead during the first half of the feature, was called for jumping the restart. He was penalized one row and Madsen advanced to the lead.

“As it turned out he went a little early and gave us the preferred line on the restart,” said Madsen, who chose the outside lane for the double-file restart. “It would have been good. I was right on his bumper and I felt like one little bobble and I was going to make a slide-job attempt.

“We caught a break and we took full advantage of it.”

Craig Dollansky, who timed in quickest during qualifying with a lap of 14.407 seconds, restarted second and Swindell third. The duo appeared to touch wheels in turn two on the restart, with Swindell winning the battle for second and Madsen driving into an advantage of half a straightaway.

The drivers entered traffic with five laps remaining, but Madsen was too strong and Swindell was unable to overcome the penalty. He held off Steve Kinser, who maintains the championship points lead, for second place. Swindell declined to comment following the race.

Dollansky finished fourth and Saldana was fifth. Donny Schatz placed sixth, Kraig Kinser seventh, Mark Dobmeier eighth, Bill Rose ninth and Cody Darrah rounded out the top 10. Patrick Stasa earned the KSE Hard Charger Award after charging from 24th to 15th.

Steve Kinser, Chad Kemenah and Madsen each picked up a heat race win.

Justin Whitesell Ready For Wayne County Speedway/Mercer Raceway Park Weekend!

Justin Whitesell piloting his familiar orange and black ’17′ – Rick Rarer Photo

‘The Man From Austintown’ will be in action on two separate evenings this Friday and Saturday, June 29-30, as Justin Whitesell prepares for a trip to Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio later this evening, before making his usual Saturday night visit to Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. Whitesell, a full-time competitor in the ‘Outlaw Sprint Warrior’ division at Mercer Raceway Park, will head to Wayne County Speedway this evening for a $500-to-win ’305′ sprint car special event that will replace the ’410′ sprinters on the evening program. With most of Ohio’s regular ’410′ sprint car competitors out on the road with the All-Star Circuit of Champions for ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek,’ this allowed Wayne County Speedway to invite the ’305′ sprinters for a rare vist to the Orrville oval. Since 5.3 GM powered sprint cars and ’305′ sprint cars make up the ‘Outlaw Sprint Warrior’ division at Mercer Raceway Park, the 5.3 GM competitors are also invited to Wayne County Speedway to compete in the $500-to-win program. Whitesell’s J&J Chassis is powered by a 5.3 liter GM.

“We are going to go out to Wayne County Speeway and have some fun” explained Justin Whitesell about the upcoming weekend, “We had some engine troubles last week that kind of put us behind in points at Mercer Raceway Park…but the engine is fresh and we are ready to get back to victory lane…hopefully at both stops this weekend!”

Whitesell will head back to Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania on Saturday evening, June 30th. The former winner at the Mercer 3/8′s mile oval in 2012 currently finds himself inside the top ten of the current ‘Outlaw Sprint Warrior’ standings entering Saturday evening’s ‘Patriot Night’ event. Whitesell held the top spot in the ‘Outlaw Sprint Warrior’ standings entering last Saturday’s double points program, but failed to make the feature lineup due to engine troubles. The Austintown, Ohio native now sits sixth in the current standings, just past the half-way mark in the 2012 season. The familiar orange and white ’17′ is 184 points behind Joe McEwen who leads the ‘OSW’ point’s chase.

Keep up with Justin Whitesell and the entire Fully Injected ’17′ team all season long, right here at www.fullyinjected.com!

Don’t Forget – ’410′ Sprints at PPMS This Sunday, July 1st!

Fully Injected In The Standings: Schaeffer/George/Priester All In ’410′ Championship Contention!

Kevin Schaeffer in action at Lernerville Speedway – Rick Rarer Photo

Team Fully Injected has an opportunity to sweep Western Pennsylvania sprint car track championships by the end of the 2012 season. Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania and Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania each offer ’410′ sprint car competition on a weekly basis in Western Pennsylvania; with each facility being hounded by Team Fully Injected sprinters at the top of their respective standings!

Kevin Schaeffer, a Kittanning, Pennsylvania native and avid supporter of Team Fully Injected, currently leads the ’410′ sprint car point standings at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The former 3-time Lernerville Speedway sprint car track champion has an 18 point advantage over fellow sprint car veteran and former Lernerville Speedway track champion, Rod George. Schaeffer has one win at the Sarver oval in 2012, and has only finished outside of the top 5 one time thus far this season; that being a sixth place performance a number of weeks back. Schaeffer’s consistency and repetitive top five finishes has allowed him to maintain a solid point lead heading into this Friday’s off-night from ‘Fab Four’ competition. The familiar yellow no. 9 will be back in action next Friday night, July 6th, at “The Action Track.”

Rod George, who is also a Team Fully Injected supporter, currently sits second in the Lernerville Speedway ’410′ sprint car standings entering the upcoming ‘Fab Four’ off-weekend. The Sarver oval is hosting the 6th Annual Firecracker 100 super late model event this Thursday, Friday, Saturday- leaving out all other weekly divisions. The Kittanning, Pennsylvania native has a healthy cushion of 27 points over Eric Williams, who is third in the current standings. George still remains winless at the track in 2012, but has performed well enough to keep the Western Pennsylvania sprint car veteran within championship contention. The familiar Doctor John Crawford, III owned ‘CIII’ will be back in action next Friday night, July 6th, at the Lernerville Speedway.

Scott Priester in action at Mercer Raceway Park – Rick Rarer Photo

Scott Priester, a Rimersburg, Pennsylvania native and Team Fully Injected member, currently sits second in the Mercer Raceway Park ’410′ sprint car point standings entering this weekend’s action. The former Challenger Raceway sprint car track champion is 32 points behind Eric ‘Turkey’ Williams of Greenville in the current standings. Williams recently earned a third place finish with the All-Star Circuit of Champions at Sharon Speedway during “Ohio Sprint Speedweek” action. Priester has an opportunity to take over the MRP ’410′ sprint car standings in the next few weekends, and ultimately earn his first career Mercer Raceway Park track title. The Mercer oval will host a regular night of action this Saturday evening, June 30th.

Mars, Bloomquist Ready For Firecracker – List of Entered Teams/Drivers!

Mars & Bloomquist Set To Renew Acquaintances At Firecracker 100 Presented by GottaRace.com June 28-30 At Lernerville Speedway

With Bloomquist’s Protest Of Mars’s Winning Tires After Last Year’s Event Still Fresh In Fans’ Minds, Rivals Will Be Center Of Attention

By Kevin Kovac, WoO LMS P.R. Director

SARVER, PA– Both Jimmy Mars and Scott Bloomquist profess that their infamous war of words following last year’s Firecracker 100 Presented by GottaRace.com will be a moot point when they return to Lernerville Speedway this weekend (June 28-30) for the sixth annual running of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series mega-event.

But will the fans react to seeing Mars and Bloomquist renew acquaintances at a track where Bloomquist set grandstand and internet messageboard conversations aflutter with his protest of the tires that Mars used to dominate the 2011 Firecracker 100? Chances are the masses populating Lernerville’s bleachers will be more tuned in to last year’s controversy.

Mars, 40, of Menomonie, Wis., understands, of course, that plenty of attention will be focused on him in the wake of last year’s post-race “situation,” which saw Mooresburg, Tenn’s Bloomquist, who finished second in the Firecracker 100, lodge an official protest on the right-front and left-rear tires on Mars’s winning car. Bloomquist’s action and explanation for doing it prompted a strong verbal response on video and in print from Mars, who had to wait to collect his $30,000 first-place check until his Hoosier rubber cleared detailed laboratory testing for chemical enhancement that could have “improved their performance in a racing application” and Mars himself validated the lab’s findings by passing a polygraph/lie detector test.

While Mars will obviously never forget last year’s entire ordeal, ask him about the Firecracker 100 ‘Tire-gate’ today and he simply lumps it in as part of the landscape of his history in the event.

“There’s definitely been a lot of fireworks with me there,” smiled Mars, the race’s only two-time winner. “I’ve had some ‘incidents.’ I’ve had some flat tires (he recovered from a flat to win the 2009 event)…I’ve had a lot of issues there with tires, I guess.

“Last year I knew there was nothing wrong on that part (the protest of his tires), so I was confident on that. But like I’ve said, there’s always got to be…there’s a lot of fireworks there. That part of…I guess the name fits the race. There’s a lot of things going on, it’s action-packed.”

Indeed, the Firecracker 100 has always been eventful for Mars. In addition to his memorable victories, he was involved in high-profile heat-race confrontations twice – in 2008 with John Blankenship (Mars sent the West Virginia driver spinning after some contact he didn’t like and proceeded to head home early) and in ’10 with Bloomquist (both slid off the track during a preliminary-night heat race to roars from the big crowd).

Mars is hoping for a more low-key run to victory in this weekend’s Firecracker 100, which includes full WoO LMS programs topped by 30-lap, $6,000-to-win A-Mains on Thurs., June 28 and Fri., June 29, leading into the $30,000-to-win Firecracker 100 on Sat., June 30.

“The way I look at it, I don’t want to beat just Scott Bloomquist because if he’s running sixth I’m looking just to get a fifth and that doesn’t do much for me,” said Mars. “I got more people to worry about than just Scott, that’s for sure. I’m there, like everybody else, to try and get a feature win sticker. I don’t want all the fireworks.

“For my part, I probably want to make it boring for the fans so I can go out there and dominate, but that’s always hard to do.”

The 48-year-old Bloomquist, meanwhile, looks back on last year’s Firecracker 100 with cool disconnect.

“Really, it was just something that I wanted to be sure to myself that I could have the confidence to run the tires that he ran,” Bloomquist said of the reasoning for his protest. “There was only one other car that ran those tires and he was a lap down, so I just wanted to know. I think he took it a little bit personal, but that’s not really my problem. My problem was trying to figure out if I had a problem.”

Bloomquist, who won the inaugural Firecracker 100 in 2007, said he never took to heart any of the scathing words Mars that directed toward him following the protest.

“Not really,” said Bloomquist. “He’s still making comments and still appears to be upset about it. So, again, it’s not my problem. I just go to race and try to separate anybody’s personal problems.

“Sometimes I think that some of the series don’t check enough stuff out on guys, so, again, we just like to make people stay honest.”

Mars and Bloomquist just want to get down to business at Lernerville, a four-tenths-mile oval that ranks high on both drivers’ lists of favorite tracks. Neither racer has skipped a single Firecracker 100.

“We enjoy coming up there,” said Bloomquist. “It’s a great event. It seems to be a really good crowd, good response. It’s a good payoff too.

“We’ve been close after winning that one. We’ve had some seconds, and I think we’ll go back and hopefully get this next one.”

Mars is one of the dirt Late Model division’s biggest boosters of Lernerville and the Firecracker 100.

“It’s a cool race and we enjoy going out there,” said Mars. “It’s just one of them events that’s pretty fun. The racing’s real good – the heat races are wild, the qualifying, the features, everything. You can pass anywhere on the track, and it’s just a pretty cool atmosphere for not only the racers, but also the race fans. There’s a lot of activities going on there – it’s just a good time all the way around.”

Advance-sale tickets for the Firecracker 100 weekend are on sale on-line at www.worldofoutlaws.com/tickets or by calling 724-353-1511. Three-day reserved-seat packages are value-priced at $69 for adults and $19 for children 10-and-under – with a free fan pit pass for Thursday and Friday included if purchased by midnight Eastern Time on Wed., June 27. Single-day tickets are also available for purchase on-line or by phone.

All tickets purchased now will be held for fans to pick up on race day at Lernerville’s Will Call window.

Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 6:50 p.m. each day of the Firecracker 100 weekend. Time trials will commence at 7:15 p.m. on Thurs., June 28, and Fri., June 29, with heat racing to begin at 8 p.m. The Sat., June 30, program, which includes heat races aligned by drivers’ best finishes during the preliminary nights, B-Mains, the $3,000-to-win ‘Uncle Sam 30′ Non-Qualifiers’ Race and the Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com, will get the green flag at 7:30 p.m.

The huge weekend boasts more than just racing. Entertainment includes fireworks; a parking-lot concert by the group NoMAD following Friday’s racing card; a Saturday afternoon filled with a driver/fan horseshoes and cornhole tournaments, on-stage driver interviews, the Ms. Firecracker contest and a wienie roast; and a driver autograph session underneath the grandstands prior to Saturday night’s program.

Racing and Fireworks This Weekend at Mercer Raceway Park

Mercer, PA: This Saturday, Mercer Raceway Park will celebrate the Independence Day holiday with Patriot’s Night. The exciting six-division Saturday Nite Live! racing card will also include a Fireworks Spectacular presented by Pizza Joe’s. Veterans with ID and Scouts in uniform will be admitted free! There will be no increase in ticket prices for this event.

With the Mid-season Championships in the books, the racers are ready for the second half of the season.

Eric “Turkey” Williams captured the flag in the Luxaire Heating & Cooling Sprint Cars and he went out and backed it up with an impressive third in the All Star Circuit of Champions Ohio Sprint Speedweek Show at Sharon Speedway Tuesday night. And, we would be remiss if we did not recognize Brandon “the Wheelman” Matus for his astounding win in that event. The third-generation racer climbed from 18th to win over an outstanding field of cars. Then, he climbed the front stretch fence, much to the delight of the crowd. Maybe he will do it again at the Park!

“Rapid” Rob Curtis will show the way in the Approved Toilet Rentals 358 Modifieds. He was one of three points leaders who used their victories to pad their margins over the competition. “Trusty” Rusty Moore (Precise Racing Products Stock Cars) and Mark Marcucci (Big Daddy’s Speed Center/Rock Concrete Modified Lites) were the others.

“Smokin” Joe McEwen got maximum advantage of his double point win last week. That, plus the misfortunes of Justin Whitesell, allowed the veteran driver to replace the youngster at the top of the Ti22 Performance Outlaw Sprint Warriors standings.

The Longwell team (Steve Sr., Steve Jr. and Joel Wisser) will be looking to sweep the podium positions in the Mini Stocks. The son topped the father last week, and Wisser was near the front. Could this be the week for them to dominate?

The gates will open at 4 p.m., and racing will start at 7 p.m. We will wait until the night sky darkens to start the fireworks.

Adult admission will be just $13, seniors $11, and students $5. Children ages 8 and under will be free. The economical Family Pass will be $28, good for two adults and up to four children of any age. Pit Passes will be $25.

About Mercer Raceway Park: Mercer Raceway Park is a 3/8-mile dirt track located minutes from both Interstate 79 and 80 just off Route 19 on Fairground Road in Mercer, Pa. Brandon Matus takes care of tires and claims his first ever UNOH All Star win at Sharon

HARTFORD, OH – By Brian Liskai(Tuesday, June 26, 2012) – After several attempts to finish the 30-lap feature at Sharon Speedway Tuesday night there were only three cars in front of the field that hadn’t blown tires. It was Wampum, Pennsylvania’s Brandon “The Wheel Man” Matus who nursed his tires enough to take his first ever University of Northwestern Ohio All Star Circuit of Champions victory on night #5 of the 30th Annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek.

There were several attempts at a green, white checkered finish that resulted in race-long leader Tony Stewart finally blowing his right rear, followed by then leader Kyle Larson and Dale Blaney. When the green came out, leader Logan Schuchart raced around to the white flag, but his right rear tire let go and he kept going as Matus, who started 18th, drove by and went on to the biggest win of his young career much to the delight of the local crowd.

“I wish I knew how I saved enough of my tires. Everyone knows me for loving these slick tracks. Running up in the dust under cautions helped I know that, but just easy on the throttle…that’s it,” said Matus beside his Sobczak Electric, Matus Service Center, Miller Masonry, Gressman Powersports backed machine.

“I was a bundle of nerves those last couple of green, white, checkered attempts. There’s so many things going through your head…you have no idea. I didn’t know if the tire would last,” added Matus of his GF1 Chassis, Ti22 sponsored #13. “I have to thank my Mom, Dad, Sister…everybody.”

Paul McMahan would come back from an early flat tire to take second after restarting fourth on the final attempt at the finish.

“That was kind of our game plan. We didn’t have much tire left after the heat race. I thought maybe I might be able to save it but it just kept getting flatter and worse and worse. So I just decided to try and tear it up…it’s a bad thing to do but it’s what you have to do and it paid off for us tonight. We missed it by one spot. Congratulations to those guys (Matus)…he drove a heck of a race to save that tire for 30 laps…he did a heck of a job,” said McMahan beside his Bryan Grove Racing, Canton Erectors, Berlin Natural Bakery backed #45.

Another of the cars that did not require a tire change – Eric Williams of Greenville, Pa. – would come home third.

“Under that red flag (a fuel stop before the first attempt at a green, white, checkered finish) they told me I hardly had any air left in the right rear so they put some air in it and I was just hoping it would hold,” said Williams beside his Approved Toilet Rentals, McClung Auto Body, Rentools and Equipment backed #7. “I just tried to nurse it to the end. I was debating on coming here tonight…I’m glad I did.”

Tony Stewart and Dale Blaney would bring the field to the green of the 30-lap feature with Stewart blasting into the lead while Blaney had his hands full with the winner of the previous two nights, Kyle Larson with Caleb Helms, Logan Schuchart, McMahan, Tim Shaffer and Sam Hafertepe Jr. in tow. Stewart would pull away and hit lapped traffic by the sixth circuit with Blaney, Larson, Helms and Schuchart in tow.

With eight laps in the books, Stewart was mired in lapped traffic, allowing Blaney to close with Larson comfortably in third while Helps battled with Schuchart and Hafertepe for fourth. Once clear of traffic, Stewart again pulled away from Blaney, Larson, Hafertepe and Schuchart.

The tire situation began on lap 19 when Danny Smith suffered a flat to bring out the caution. On the restart Stewart would pull away from Blaney and Larson. Bryan Sebetto’s tire would let go on lap 23 for another yellow. And again, Stewart would blast away on the restart with Blaney, Larson, Hafertepe, Schuchart, Helps and McMahan in pursuit. With six laps to go, McMahan’s tire finally blew for another yellow. A lap and another flat, this time for Stevie Smith.

With five laps to go, the running order was Stewart, Larson, Blaney, Hafertepe, Schuchart and Eric Williams. This time the field was able to get two laps in before Stewart’s right rear left go and he retired pit side, handing the lead to Larson. But, the caution flew when several cars blew tires.

That set up the first attempt at a green, white, checkered. On the first attempt, Shaffer blew a tire, followed by Blaney on the second try, necessitating the fuel stop. On the restart, both Larson and second place running Hafertepe suffered flats, handing the lead to Schuchart, who, along with Matus and Williams, were the only cars left from the original start of the event that had not had a flat.

The green came out and Schuchart looked like he might nurse his car home to the victory. He raced around to the white, but when he entered turns one and two, his right rear let go as Matus, McMahan – who had come from the back of the backing the last five laps after getting a new right rear – and Williams applied pressure. Matus stayed glued to the rubber on the bottom and drove home to the victory.

McMahan, Williams, Mike Linder and Stevie Smith – the later two having changed flat tires late in the race – would round out the top five.

Lucas Oil ASCS head for I-30 Double Header

Lucas Oil ASCS head for I-30 Double Header

Bryan Hulbert – Tulsa, Oklahoma – After Mother Nature cut short the 2012 season’s first visit to I-30 Speedway in May, the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV is set to return to Little Rock, Arkansas this Friday June 29th and Saturday June 30th.

Representing rounds twenty-three and twenty-four in the $60,000 championship hunt, this weekend’s competition at I-30 Speedway also marks the fifty-seventh and fifty-eighth time since 1993 that the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV has graced the Little Rock quarter mile.

Finishing outside the top ten for the first time this past Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, Lucas Oil ASCS point’s leader Wayne Johnson has precious little breathing room as the City Vending/Oil Medics No. 77x has only a twelve point advantage over Jason Johnson.

Finishing an average of three positions apart in almost every race contested this season, both drivers have exchange the points lead five times with Tony Bruce Jr. and Brady Bacon being the only other two drivers who have led the points so far.

Occupying the show position, Brady Bacon has had a roller coaster of a month. Even with four wins since the start of June, the Fatheadz Eyewear/XXX Chassis No. 99 has suffered setbacks with a DNF at the Salina Highbanks on June 22nd followed by a seventeenth place effort at the Lucas Oil Speedway the following night.

Slowly picking up steam since a rough start to his season is Johnny Herrera. Currently fourth in national standings, the MVT/Champion Brands No. 45x has not finished outside the top ten in the past fifteen races with six of those runs on the podium. Still in search of his first Lucas Oil ASCS victory in 2012, Herrera looked to be well on his way at the Salina Highbanks on Friday June 22nd until the engine let go in the closing laps; resulting in Herrera falling back to third.

Rounding out the top five in national standings, Brad Loyet has been close to victory several times in 2012. With three runner up finishes to his credit, Loyet, like Herrera, has had to bounce back from early season crashes, managing to string together seventeen top tens’ to go along with eleven top five finishes.

Tony Bruce Jr. holds sixth with a pair of wins to his credit to go along with seven top five’s and fourteen top tens’. Danny Wood currently finds himself seventh with Seth Bergman closing the gap in eighth after a runner up finish at Lawton Speedway. Dustin Morgan continues to ride ninth in the standings with Gary Wright slipping back to tenth after his hauler left the series veteran stranded on the side of the road; forcing the Hooks, Texas native to miss the Eagle Nationals.

Logan Forler recorded a season best finish of sixth at Lawton Speedway, moving into the top ten by four makers over Gary Wright. Slipping back into eleventh after races at the Salina Highbanks the young rookie has shown great speed behind the wheel of the Lucas Oil/K&N Filters No. 5H.

Rochester Mills, PA (June 26, 2012) ‘The Truth’, Gregg Satterlee of Rochester Mills, PA picked up his sixth win of the season this past weekend at the Three State Flyers sanctioned event at Natural Bridge (VA) Speedway earning him a cool $3,500 for the victory.

Satterlee used a slick outside move to get around polesitter Jamie Lathroum on lap 21 of the scheduled 35 laps to take the lead and put his Satterlee Petroleum Distributors, East American Motorsports, Integra Shocks, JNJ Motorsports Media sponsored #22 Rocket Chassis in its sixth different victory lane this season. Gregg has now reached the Winner’s Circle at Hagerstown (MD) Speedway, Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, VA), Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, PA), Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway (Imperial, PA), Winchester (VA) Speedway, and now Natural Bridge (VA) Speedway. The win also puts him at a 50% rate of finishing in the top-five. In 32 total starts, Satterlee has an amazing 16 top-five finishes.

‘One of the things we wanted to do this year was become more consistent,’ Gregg said from his Rochester Mills, PA home. ‘I didn’t realize how consistent we’ve been until I looked at our website the other day, but that was a goal of ours going into the season. We knew if we could consistently run towards the front, the wins would come. Everyone wants to win every time you hit the track, but so far we’re pretty happy with how the season has gone.’

This upcoming weekend is one of the most anticipated of the season for the Satterlee Racing team, ‘The Firecracker is a race that we’ve been preparing for all season,’ Satterlee said. ‘It’s basically in our backyard and we really want to run well. These bigger shows are why we started travelling more this year. Racing against some of the guys we’ve raced against this year helps me as a driver and us as a team and really prepares us for these higher paying shows.’ Gregg continued, ‘We think we have a pretty solid book (setups) for Lernerville and every type of track condition that we could see this weekend. Our cars are ready to go and our Roush Yates Engines have been fantastic all year in every condition, we’re ready to go.’

Gregg and his Gregg Satterlee Racing team will be in action this upcoming Thursday, Friday, and Saturday June 28, 29, and 30 at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA for the Sixth Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com. Lanigan Spoils McCreadie’s Hometrack Party With Powerful Drive To Victory At Canandaigua Motorsports Park

World of Outlaws Late Model Series Points Leader Has Tour’s Single-Season Win Record In Sight After Seventh Triumph

By Kevin Kovac, WoO LMS P.R. Director

CANANDAIGUA, NY – June 26, 2012 – Darrell Lanigan spoiled Tim McCreadie’s home-track party on Tuesday night, driving to a convincing victory in the 40-lap World of Outlaws Late Model Series A-Main at Canandaigua Motorsports Park.

In a mid-week event carrying sponsorship from Sweeteners Plus – the nearby business owned by McCreadie’s team owner Carl Myers – and Ballantyne RV & Marine, Lanigan sailed his Rocket car around the half-mile oval’s outside lane to take the lead from race-long pacesetter Shane Clanton of Fayetteville, Ga., on lap 23 and never looked back. The 42-year-old star from Union, Ky., ran unchallenged for the remainder of the caution-free race, beating Watertown, N.Y.’s McCreadie to the finish line by 2.971 seconds.

The triumph was Lanigan’s fifth in the last eight WoO LMS events and his seventh overall of 2012. He moved within two victories of matching the tour’s modern-day (2004-present) single-season win record of nine – with 24 A-Mains still left on the schedule – and pushed his commanding points lead to 150 markers over defending champion Rick Eckert of York, Pa., who salvaged a ninth-place finish after using a provisional spot to start 23rd because engine problems at the start of his heat forced him to switch to his backup car.

Tim Fuller – like McCreadie, a resident of Watertown, N.Y., and a former DIRTcar big-block Modified regular at Canandaigua – finished third despite running the A-Main on seven cylinders because his engine sustained a broken engine lifter during heat action. It was his second straight third-place outing on the WoO LMS.

Clint Smith of Senoia, Ga., advanced from the eighth starting spot to place fourth, giving him consecutive top-five finishes on the national tour for the first time this season. WoO LMS Rookie of the Year points leader Bub McCool of Vicksburg, Miss., took fifth thanks to a last-lap pass of Clanton, who started from the pole position but faded to a sixth-place finish as his car developed a ‘tight’ condition during the race’s second half.

Lanigan’s only moment of apparent vulnerability came early in the event. He started sixth but found himself running seventh after four laps, providing his rivals a false sense of hope that his Cornett-powered machine might be a slight bit off.

On lap nine, Lanigan passed Smith to crack the top five. He soared by both Fuller and Vic Coffey of Caledonia, N.Y., on lap 12 to reach third and drove around the outside of McCreadie for second on lap 14 before completing his charge on lap 23 by vanquishing Clanton.

“We fell back a little bit there at the beginning,” said Lanigan, whose 33rd career WoO LMS win moved him within five victories of Josh Richards for the top spot on the tour’s win list since 2004. “We just lost some positions being in the wrong spot on the racetrack, but we rallied back there on the top. I was a little concerned (about the slow start), then I just moved up to that top and it was pretty good.

“Man, this car was good. I couldn’t ask for a better car. I could almost run wide-open around that top.”

Lanigan scored a very satisfying victory, shooting down McCreadie at a half-mile oval where the surging driver watched his father, legendary DIRTcar big-block Modified star ‘Barefoot’ Bob McCreadie, throughout the ’80s and ’90s and where he won 14 big-block features himself from 1999-2003. McCreadie had been triumphant in the last WoO LMS event at Canandaigua three years ago and entered Tuesday’s program with two wins in his last three tour starts.

“That was a good one,” Lanigan said of his win. “It’s good to come up here to (McCreadie’s) home track and run well.”

McCreadie, 38, started fourth and quickly hustled his Warrior mount to second on the race’s opening lap. But he couldn’t find a way by Clanton for the lead and ultimately fell to Lanigan’s onslaught.

“I’m pretty well sure (Lanigan) had a different right-rear (tire) on than I did,” said McCreadie, who has registered eight top-five finishes in the last 10 WoO LMS events. “I just faded. It’s just one of these deals – I moved off the top and (Lanigan) drove by me, and I’m like, ‘Damn.’

“That’s what happens sometimes. I’ll tip our caps (to Lanigan), and hopefully we can go make 30-grand down at Lernerville (Speedway in Sarver, Pa.) this weekend (June 28-30 during the sixth annual Firecracker 100 Presented by GottaRace.com).”

Fuller, 44, authored one of the noteworthy drives of the evening, moving forward from the fifth starting spot in his handicapped Rocket car. He contemplated starting from the rear of the field in his backup after developing engine woes on his way to a heat-race win, but he decided to disengage one spark plug and run slightly underpowered.

“The motor really sounds bad with that spark plug missing, but that’s what we had to do to make it live,” said Fuller, whose powerplant sported a distinctive ‘ticking’ noise. “Thanks to Clint Smith and Chub Frank – they’re the ones who told me to run it. I wasn’t even gonna run it, but they told it wouldn’t hurt it to run it on seven cylinders – and actually, the track conditions were perfect for being on seven cylinders.”

Fuller broke into third place with a lap-31 pass of Clanton and by lap 35 drew close enough to challenge McCreadie for second, but he lost ground to McCreadie in lapped traffic and settled for a finish that tied his best run of 2012.

Coffey finished seventh, slipping backward from the third starting spot in a race he had high hopes of making his first-ever WoO LMS win. A former DIRTcar big-block Modified regular at Canandaigua, Coffey is McCreadie’s teammate on the Sweeteners Plus team and the step-son of Carl Myers, who is married to Coffey’s mother Ann.

Chub Frank of Bear Lake, Pa., finished a quiet eighth, moving up from the 12th starting spot. Eckert was ninth on a night that saw him tow his trailer to the track using a borrowed truck because his own rig was at a Freightliner dealer in Syracuse, N.Y., for transmission repairs, and DIRTcar big-block Modified veteran Billy Decker of Unadilla, N.Y., rounded out the top 10 after starting 18th.

Thirty-two cars were signed in for the program, which drew a near-capacity crowd on a cool, clear early-summer day. It was one of the most successful promotions of Jeremie Corcoran’s two-year run as promoter of the fairgrounds track.

Eckert started the evening on a strong note, earning fast-time honors for the second time this season with a lap of 17.972 seconds in Ohlins Shocks Time Trials.

Heat winners were McCreadie, John Lobb of Frewsburg, N.Y. (first-ever WoO LMS heat victory) and Fuller. Dan Davies of Warren, Pa., captured the B-Main in his second career dirt Late Model start.

The WoO LMS heads to Lernerville Speedway for the three-day Firecracker 100 Presented by GottaRace.com on June 28-30. Full WoO LMS programs topped by 30-lap, $6,000-to-win A-Mains will be contested on Thurs., June 28, and Fri., June 29, with the $30,000-to-win Firecracker 100 finale set for Sat., June 30.

Wampum, Pennsylvania native and Team Fully Injected driver, Brandon Matus, scores his first career All-Star Circuit of Champions victory Tuesday night, June 26th, at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio during “Ohio Sprint Speedweek” competition. Matus now has two career ’410′ sprint car victories with the first coming at Lernerville Speedway in August of 2011.

Bowling Green, Ohio native and Fully Injected supporter, Travis Philo, in action at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio during the All-Star Circuit of Champions ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ stop Tuesday night, June 26th. Philo’s night would end in B-main competition. The familiar ’5T’ would finish 6th in the evening’s B-main; one spot short of an A-main transfer position. Philo, and the entire Philo Motorsports team, will be back in action Wednesday night at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio for round #6 of ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek.’

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native and Fully Injected supporter, Danny Holtgraver, in action at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio during All-Star Circuit of Champions’ ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ competition on Tuesday, June 26th. The full-time All-Star ‘Ohio Region’ competitor had to end his night at the conclusion of the B-main. Holtgraver would charge from 11th to 6th in his respective heat race, but would still be forced to run the evening’s B-main; failing to make one of the top five transfer spots. The recent All-Star winner at Attica Raceway Park then rallied from a 20th place starting position to finish 10th in the evening’s B-main; forcing Holtgraver to retire for the evening.

Hermitage, Pennsylvania native and Fully Injected supporter, Adam Kekich (5K), was in action Tuesday night, June 26th, at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio with the All-Star Circuit of Champions during ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek.’ The third generation driver would have to end his night at the conclusion of B-main competition. The former limited sprint car competitor at the Sharon oval will be back in action Saturday night at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania.

Also pictured above in his familiar Cycle Warehouse no. 22, Brandon Spithaler (22) in action at Sharon Speedway Tuesday evening, June 26th, during All-Star Circuit of Champions’ ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ competition. The Evan City, Pennsylvania native would also have to end his night earlier than anticipated; failing to qualify for the evening’s $5,000-to-win, 30 lap main event.

McCreadie Ready For Canandaigua Tonight – June 26th!

Sizzling McCreadie Ready For World of Outlaws Late Model Series Invasion Of Canandaigua Motorsports Park On Tuesday (June 26)

Former DIRTcar Big-Block Regular Leads National Full-Fender Tour To Track Where He ‘Grew Up’

By Kevin Kovac, WoO LMS P.R. Director

CANANDAIGUA, NY – June 25, 2012 – Canandaigua Motorsports Park isn’t just one of Tim McCreadie’s favorite racetracks. It’s also his home away from home.

So it should come as no surprise that McCreadie will happily lead the World of Outlaws Late Model Series to Canandaigua for the first time since 2009 on Tuesday night (June 26). The evening’s 40-lap, $8,000-to-win A-Main – a race sponsored by McCreadie’s car owner Carl Myers’s business, Sweeteners Plus, and Ballantyne RV & Marine – will provide him an opportunity to create another cherished memory at a half-mile fairgrounds oval that’s close to his heart.

“I tell everybody that I lived in Watertown (N.Y.),” said the 38-year-old McCreadie, “but I grew up in Canandaigua.”

Indeed, McCreadie began frequenting the speedway known as the ‘Land of Legends’ as a nine-year-old when his father, legendary DIRTcar big-block Modified driver ‘Barefoot’ Bob McCreadie, became a regular at the track. He went on to launch his own racing career there, compete successfully in Canandaigua’s weekly big-block division and make the facility the site of arguably the most emotional victory of his competitive life.

“I love Canandaigua,” said McCreadie. “I know Lafargeville (Can-Am Motorsports Park) is really close to my home, but I’ve spent more Saturday nights at Canandaigua and raced there more than any other track.

“I can remember when I first started going there (in 1983) with my Dad. I sat in the stands and hung out with the other kids at the track – kids like Shawn Parker before he went on to become (DIRTcar big-block Modified standout) Danny Johnson’s (teenage) crew chief and do things as a NASCAR crew chief down south – until I was probably 14 and started helping my Dad in the pits.

“Going to Canandaigua was our family outing,” continued McCreadie, whose childhood home was nearly a two-and-a-half-hour drive from the central New York track. “Instead of going to the lake, we were at Canandaigua for the weekends. We usually stayed at the Econo Lodge (in Canandaigua), we’d play miniature golf at the little Mini Putt-Putt course right near there and then we’d go over to Weedsport (Cayuga County Fair Speedway) on Sunday and I’d ride go-karts on the slick-track there before the races on Sunday night.”

McCreadie eventually followed his father’s tire tracks into the DIRTcar Modified class, debuting at Canandaigua in the spring of 1996. He ran his 358-Modified there against the big-blocks for two weeks before heading to Can-Am for regular small-block action as a rookie. He returned to Canandaigua a couple years later as a big-block regular and became a top contender, winning 14 features from 1999-2003.

The dirt Late Model division became McCreadie’s focus in ’04, taking him away from Canandaigua on a weekly basis. But his affinity for the track did not wane with his absence – and on June 23, 2009, he made a triumphant special-event visit, capturing a WoO LMS show at Canandaigua in just his fourth start after returning from a fractured vertebra he suffered five months in a wild crash during qualifying for the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals in Tulsa, Okla.

McCreadie still fondly recalls the celebratory scene that followed his WoO LMS win at Canandaigua, which has not hosted the full-fender circuit since that super-charged evening in ’09. The 2006 WoO LMS champion was swarmed by friends in Victory Lane and had a special meeting with his father, a 99-time feature winner at Canandaigua who saw his son win a dirt Late Model race in person for the first time.

“That was one of my most memorable wins,” said McCreadie, who finished third in Canandaigua’s only other WoO LMS event, in 2008. “I had just come back from breaking my back so that was a big moment for me, but the fact that it happened at Canandaigua made it that much more exciting. Because I grew up there, and my dad won so many races there, I have a lot of history there and a lot of friends from around the place.

“It’s always special for me to go back to Canandaigua,” he added. “I can’t wait to go there on Tuesday. We’re going to see a lot of familiar faces, and I might even have my son (Gavin, who turns 2 on July 5) there to see me run a Late Model for the first time.”

McCreadie will enter the mid-week spectacular vying for hottest-driver status on the WoO LMS with points leader Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky., who owns a tour-best six A-Main wins. McCreadie’s victory over Lanigan in the last WoO LMS event, on Friday night at Quebec’s Autodrome Granby, was his third of the season and second in his last three starts with his Warrior Chassis machine.

“We’re rolling right now and hopefully we can keep it going at Canandaigua,” said McCreadie, who has closed within four points of Bear Lake, Pa.’s Chub Frank for third place in the WoO LMS points standings thanks to seven top-five outings and no finish worse than seventh in his last nine WoO LMS events. “We’re excited to go there, and I know my car owners Ann and Carl (Myers) are excited. They’re sponsoring the night and they’re getting a chance to see me and Vic (Coffey, McCreadie’s Sweeteners Plus teammate) race, so it’s going to be a special night for them.

“I’m hoping it will be a successful night for the whole Sweeteners Plus team.”

Coffey, 40, of Caledonia, N.Y., was absent from Friday’s WoO LMS program at Autodrome Granby because issues at the border kept him from entering Canada, but he sits eighth in the tour points standings after Sunday night’s rainout at Cornwall (Ont.) Motor Speedway and figures to be one of the favorites for victory at Canandaigua. A winner of 17 DIRTcar big-block Modified features at the track, Coffey is still chasing his first WoO LMS victory after 127 career A-Main starts. He finished fifth in the tour’s 2009 event at Canandaigua after setting fast time.

Tim Fuller of Watertown, N.Y., is another WoO LMS regular with plenty of big-block Modified experience at Canandaigua. He has two career wins at the track – one in ’01, one in ’09 – and might have been McCreadie’s biggest obstacle to victory in the track’s ’09 WoO LMS event if a broken driveshaft on lap four of the A-Main hadn’t forced him to hand the lead to the eventual winner.

The WoO LMS roster at Canandaigua will also include defending champion Rick Eckert of York, Pa., recent $100,000 Dream winner Shane Clanton of Fayetteville, Ga., Clint Smith of Senoia, Ga., Pat Doar of New Richmond, Wis., John Lobb of Frewsburg, N.Y., and rookies Bub McCool of Vicksburg, Miss., Kent Robinson of Bloomington, Ind., and Jack Sullivan of Greenbrier, Ark.

Canandaigua’s biggest event of the summer on Tuesday night (June 26) also features a DIRTcar Big-Block Modified Invitational that will see the top 12 drivers in the points standings compete in Twin 12-lap events and a full program for the DIRTcar Sportsman division.

Gates are scheduled to open at 5 p.m. and racing is set to begin at 7 p.m.

General Admission is $29, with kids 16-and-under admitted for $5 (general admission) with paid adult admission. Reserved seats are $34 and will be available at the track.

Cory Haas Anxious For Lincoln Speedway ‘Speedweek’ Event!

Cory Haas posing in victory lane with Fully Injected reps Tyler Altmeyer and Ty Basinger at last year’s Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek opener at Lincoln Speedway; the win was worth $7,000

York, Pennsylvania native and Fully Injected supporter, Cory Haas, is locked and loaded for this year’s edition of Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek. The annual spectacle will feature a healthy roster of Pennsylvania Posse ’410′ sprint car competitors, as well as a strong dose of regional and national driving talent, that plan to criss-cross the ‘Keystone State’ in search of a chunk of the $210,000 Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek purse! This year’s speedweek will see Pennsylvania’s best sprint car drivers travel to 7 different race tracks, in 2 different states, for 8 different events, over a 9 day period. Cory Haas plans to be a part of the action during opening night of speedweek at Lincoln Speedway on June 30th, and then returning to speedweek competition on Thursday and Friday – July 5th and 6th- at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.  Haas is the defending winner of Lincoln Speedway’s ‘Kevin Gobrecht Memorial’ speedweek event, and looks forward to returning to the Pigeon Hills for a chance to repeat.

“We are ready to run the bigger money shows” said Cory Haas, “This is Lincoln Speedway’s biggest pay race of the year and being the defending winner really makes us want to win it again…we have to time trial well…it’s something that we have struggled with but we have been working hard so hopefully we have everything figured out!”

Lincoln Speedway will open speedweek on Saturday evening, June 30th, with the $7,000-to-win Kevin Gobrecht Memorial. Haas spends each and every Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway and currently finds himself inside the top 3 of the ’410′ sprint car point standings. The former ’358′ sprint car track champion at Lincoln Speedway has three wins this season at the Pigeon Hills oval; putting Haas among the top 12 drivers in the current Hoseheads Central Pennsylvania sprint car standings.

Haas will wrap up his speedweek effort at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Thursday and Friday, July 5th and 6th! The doubleheader at the world famous half mile will offer the possibility of a $15,000 pay day by the time Friday comes to a close. Thursday night will offer a $5,000 pay day to the winner of the 25 lap main event, leaving Friday night’s Mitch Smith Memorial 30 lap event worth $10,000. The Mitch Smith Memorial is the highest paying event on the Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek schedule. Haas has been on a recent tear at Williams Grove Speedway; recording two consecutive top five finishes including a rally from 13th to 4th last Friday night, and a runner-up finish the week before.
