2013 Commonwealth Clash Sneak Preview

Sarver, PA (September 16, 2013) When last the “Greatest Show on Dirt” took to the Action Track, Daryn Pittman and Donny Schatz stood in Victory Lane together as winners each of one of the Silver Cup Twin 30s.  Schatz’s average finish made him Silver Cup Champion.  And now, with the 2013 schedule winding down, Pittman and Schatz are in an all out dogfight for the Championship.  Schatz went on an absolute tear throughout the month of money; winning more than 10 World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car series races since July 1, including the Brad Doty Classic, the Silver Cup, Summer Nationals and Knoxville Nationals.  He just recently eclipsed 20 Outlaws wins for the season, but Darryn Pittman continues to hold the points lead over Schatz.

Former Track Champion and current All Star Circuit of Champions star Dale Blaney won last year’s Commonwealth Clash to score a $10,000 payday at one of his home tracks.  Fellow former Track Champions Tim Shaffer and Ed Lynch Jr. also have World of Outlaws A-Main wins at the Action Track on their resume and All Star Danny Holtgraver would love to add his name to that list!
