Allegheny Sprint Tour returns to action with events at Dog Hollow and Tri-City Raceway Park during Father’s Day weekend

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

SENECA, PA (June 15, 2017) – After what turned into an uneventful weekend for the IMCA/Racesaver Allegheny Sprint Tour, losing Friday evening’s program at Thunder Mountain Speedway to Mother Nature just as the A-main was scheduled to hit the racing surface, Series regulars will now turn their attention toward a pair of programs at Dog Hollow (PA) Speedway and Tri-City (PA) Raceway Park during Father’s Day weekend.

After a failed attempt earlier in the season due to wet weather conditions, Dog Hollow Speedway in Strongstown, Pennsylvania, will finally have the opportunity to host the 305 cubic inch, IMCA/Racesaver sprint cars on Friday evening, June 16. Joining forces with the IMCA/Racesaver Laurel Highlands Sprint Car Series, a large car count is expected to be on hand at the Indiana County oval, the first of potentially three Dog Hollow Speedway appearances this season.

On Father’s Day, Sunday, June 18, Allegheny Sprint Tour competitors will travel north and revisit Franklin, Pennsylvania’s Tri-City Raceway Park for the Father’s Day Spectacular, joining the 410 cubic inch sprint cars for an open wheel doubleheader. Courtesy of Stiller Trucking, the Allegheny Sprint Tour main event will award a $500 top prize. Ralph Engel earned high honors during the first Tri-City Raceway Park visit on Sunday, May 14th.

Despite rain washing away main event action on Friday evening at Thunder Mountain Speedway, a number of Allegheny Sprint Car teams made the trip to Eriez Speedway on Sunday, June 11, for an exhibition race; Tyler Denochick was declared the winner.
