Allegheny Sprint Tour will give away new HRP wing set and Longest Tow Award during upcoming weekend

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

SENECA, PA (May 10, 2017) – After losing a battle with Mother Nature on Friday and Saturday, May 5-6, the Racesaver/IMCA Allegheny Sprint Tour will try again, this time attempting to open its inaugural season with events at Dog Hollow Speedway and Tri-City Raceway Park on Friday and Sunday, May 12 & 14, respectively. Each event will feature a full Allegheny Sprint Tour program that will award a standard purse, as well as a few extra incentives.

“It’s tough to lose our entire opening weekend to weather, but there was nothing we could do about it,” Jake Gomola explained, Allegheny Sprint Tour promoter. “We have a busy weekend ahead. Hopefully Mother Nature cooperates and allows us to get our season underway.”

Allegheny Sprint Tour competitors will join forces with the Laurel Highlands Sprint Car Series on Friday evening, May 12, during their visit to Dog Hollow Speedway. The co-sanctioned event will be the first of three on the 2017 schedule, with all three at the Strongstown, Pennsylvania, facility.

Competitors who make the tow to Tri-City Raceway Park in Franklin, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, May 14, will have the opportunity to earn more than just the standard feature payout. Drivers who qualify for the Allegheny Sprint Tour main event, as well as finish, will be entered into a drawing for a brand new HRP Wings kit that includes a top wing and nose wing. As an added bonus, an extra $50 on behalf of J&J Outdoor Power Equipment & Sales will be awarded to the team who makes the longest tow to Tri-City Raceway Park.

“I want to thank J&J Outdoor for coming on board and helping us with the Longest Tow Award,” Jake Gomola said. “Hopefully that will attract a few extra teams that were on the fence about making the commute. It’s going to be a great program. We are all very excited to get back to Dog Hollow and Tri-City.”
