Bova Preps for Potential Fremont Speedway Doubleheader

STRUTHERS, Oh. (May 24, 2016) – Cody “Bonzai” Bova will enter a pair of $1,000-to-win programs at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, during the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, one of which accumulating points toward the JLH General Contractors FAST 305 Series presented by Engine Pro championship. Bova has made one start at Fremont Speedway thus far in 2016, finishing 14th during the FAST 305 Series opener on April 23. The holiday doubleheader will ignite on Saturday evening, May 28, followed by the FAST 305 Series portion of the weekend on Sunday, May 29.
“The weather has us disgusted to say the least,” explained Cody Bova. “We haven’t had too many opportunities to race, but we plan to change that statistic this weekend. We have some personal things that we have to address this week, so as long as those don’t interfere, we’ll make our way to Fremont Speedway for the weekend. I can’t thank my family, crew, and sponsors enough for their loyal support and dedication. We’ve been trying to stay patient. Hopefully we can get two solid starts under us this Saturday and Sunday.”
Bova, a full-time traveler with the JLH General Contractors FAST 305 Series presented by Engine Pro circuit in 2016, will enter the Memorial Day weekend doubleheader currently 16th in the series standings.
“Unfortunately, we kinda put ourselves in a hole early in the season,” explained Bova. “It isn’t something we need to feel bad about or be concerned with. We knew this season was going to be a challenge. We’re just excited to be racing. Hopefully we can keep improving as the summer goes on and climb into the top-ten.”
