Brandon Hahn returning for 2014 Lucas Oil ASCS Season

TULSA, Okla. (February 17, 2014) – Brandon Hahn’s rookie season with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real was, as the 19 year old driver puts it, “a huge learning experience.”

With his first year on the road behind him, Hahn will again pilot the Protect the Harvest No. 29 for his Father, Steve Hahn.

Having to make several changes while on the road in 2013 as the former Micro driver adapted to racing from track-to-track, Hahn explained that the biggest problem they had was keeping engines alive, “That has to be the biggest change for us right now is with our engines. Last year we had to mixed and match engines, but the guys at Wesmar got us fixed up for this year.”

Bringing up people of influence throughout his first year on the road, Hahn was quick to give thanks to his Father and Grandfather as well as longtime Crew Chief, Jimmy Jones.

“It’s going to be a bummer this year not having [Jimmy] Jones on the since Dustin [Morgan] isn’t planning to run the full tour, as of now anyway, but it’s always helpful to just listen; even to what other drivers have to say.”

Making every event in 2013, Hahn was only able to start in 27 A-Features. Asked about his goals for the coming season, Hahn replied, “My goal going to the racetrack every night is to make the A-Feature first, and then go from there and try to get a solid finish with my car in one piece, but I think we can go out there and be better prepared this year.”

Aside from the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour, Brandon does have plans to running several ASCS Regional, as well as NCRA events.
