Brent Marks battles for top-ten at Calistoga

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MYERSTOWN, Pa. (September 17, 2018) – Although it was a long and strenuous West Coast Swing with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, Brent Marks will begin his seemingly-endless trek back to the East Coast with a patch of momentum on his side.

Marks, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/Buckwalter Trucking/No. 19 sprint car, earned his momentum blast during action at Calistoga Speedway on Friday, September 14. Ultimately resulting in his 25th top-ten finish of the 2018 season, Marks charged ahead from the outside of row seven to finish eighth during the Wine Country Outlaw Showdown opener, forced to do things the hard way after finishing fifth during his respective heat race.

A rose surrounded by thorns, to say the least, other recent results include being scored 22nd at Placerville Speedway on Wednesday, September 12, after getting upside-down during main event action, followed by another 22nd place finish at Calistoga Speedway on Saturday, September 15; the result of a flat, right-rear tire in the final circuits.

“I’m ready to go home,” Brent Marks laughed, who is nearly complete with his second, full year on the road with the Greatest Show On Dirt. “It has been a long and hard-fought West Coast Swing. I’m not saying we didn’t enjoy ourselves because we did; we love being out here on the road with the World of Outlaws. But I think enough is enough, in some respect. We need some time close to home. I’m excited to work out of my own shop and sleep in my own bed.”

Up next on the campaign trail is a string of programs throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania which includes visits to Eldora Speedway and Lernerville Speedway on Friday and Saturday, September 21 & 22, respectively. The ‘Myerstown Missile’ will cap off the month of September with the National Open at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday and Saturday, September 28 & 29.
