Brent Marks shows speed in Kansas; Port Royal return ahead

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MYERSTOWN, Pa. (OCTOBER 22, 2018) – Two Kansas starts equaled back-to-back top-ten finishes for Brent Marks, now with 29 on the World of Outlaws trail in 2018.

Marks, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/Buckwalter Trucking/No. 19, joined the Greatest Show On Dirt during visits to Lakeside Speedway and Dodge City Raceway Park on Friday and Saturday, October 19 & 20, respectively. Starting no worse than 13th on the weekend, the ‘Myerstown Missile’ jumped ahead from 13th to finish tenth at Lakeside, all before maintaining a top-ten run on Saturday at Dodge City by finishing seventh after starting fifth.

Adding some extra glamour to the weekend, Marks won his respective heat race at Dodge City just after setting the third fastest time during qualifying time trials.

“We just kept plugging away all weekend and it worked out,” Brent Marks said, who owns three World of Outlaws victories in 2018. “Now we get to travel home and race in our own backyard, again. It’s exciting to have the opportunity to be a part of the Tuscarora 50 in 2018. We know what it takes to win at Port Royal Speedway so we plan to put those notes to good use this Friday and Saturday and make the best of our weekend close to home.”

The 51st running of the Tuscarora 50 at Port Royal Speedway sits ahead for Brent Marks and Brent Marks Racing. The two-day spectacle will award a total winner’s share equaling $59,000 on Friday and Saturday, October 26 & 27, all headlined with the 50-lap, $51,000-to-win finale on Saturday evening.

Marks is certainly no stranger to competition at Port Royal Speedway, nor the famous Tuscarora 50. In fact, before hopping on the Outlaw trail full-time, Marks made his presence known at the Port Royal ‘Speed Palace’ permanently by sweeping Tuscarora weekend in 2015; winning the Night Before The 50 and the Tuscarora 50. The All Star Circuit of Champions sanctioned event awarded a $12,000+ payday during the two-day finale.
