Brock Zearfoss gets number seven; Final Showdown ahead

JONESTOWN, PA (October 24, 2017) – Brock Zearfoss nearly went two-for-two on Saturday night at Port Royal (PA) Speedway, earning a pair of podium finishes during the season-ending Open Wheel Madness. Zearfoss, piloting a pair of Brock Zearfoss Racing entries, entered the 410ci division, as well as the 360ci division, on Saturday night at the Port Royal “Speed Palace,” winning the 410ci portion of the evening program before finishing second during the URC main event.
The victory, accomplished with a near-two second margin, was Zearfoss’ seventh of the 2017 season, now with five at Port Royal Speedway. The “Jonestown Jet” earned $4,000 for his efforts.
“Things are just unreal right now,” Zearfoss said. “Our confidence is at an all-time high right now and that certainly shows on the race track. Momentum and confidence play such a huge role in this sport. We know that every time we hit the racetrack we are good enough to win. I hope that feeling never goes away.”
For the final time in 2017, Brock Zearfoss will make a start on Pennsylvania soil, this time joining Central Pennsylvania’s finest for the Final Showdown at Susquehanna Speedway near York Haven. The season-ending program, scheduled for October 28, will award a $5,000 top prize.
“It’s kinda tough to think that our season is done,” Zearfoss added. “We are heading to Charlotte the following weekend, but it’s tough to think we are done in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Our plan is to head to there and act like it’s our first race of the year; prepared and ready to go.”
