Brock Zearfoss will join World of Outlaws at Lincoln and Williams Grove

JONESTOWN, PA (May 15, 2017) – For the first time in 2017, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss will challenge the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series on home dirt, working to represent the Pennsylvania Posse fan base proudly during the first Central Pennsylvania invasion of the season. Zearfoss will pilot two different rides during the three-race sweep inside The Keystone State, beginning with the Gettysburg Clash at Lincoln Speedway on Wednesday, May 17.

“We are always excited for the opportunity to race against the World of Outlaws. They are the best in the business, so obviously, our intent is to keep them out of victory lane,” Zearfoss explained, a one-time winner in Central Pennsylvania this season. “We’ve been consistent this season; finishing inside the top-ten and the top-five more times than not. I think if we can mold all of that consistency together, and roll off good qualifying times, we’ll be just fine.”

Zearfoss will continue his World of Outlaws weekend with back-to-back nights of competition at the world-famous Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg on Friday and Saturday, May 19-20. The annual Morgan Cup will highlight the weekend schedule, awarding $12,000 to the main event winner on Saturday, plus a $5,000 bonus. The Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native will pilot of the Aaron Long-owned No. 58 during the two-day Williams Grove Speedway program, while still piloting his own No. 3Z during the Gettysburg Clash.

“I can’t thank both teams enough for this opportunity,” Zearfoss said. “Aaron and I don’t have very many laps together, but we made some very important laps at Williams Grove on Friday before the rain came. We figured out a lot about the car and know where we need to be on Friday when we time trial. We understand the level of competition we are going to be up against. The best we can do is work hard and try some things. It all comes down to qualifying. That will set the tone for the entire weekend.”

Brock Zearfoss will enter his three-race weekend with one recent top-ten finish to his credit; finishing tenth at the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” on Saturday night, May 13. The former Port Royal Speedway championship runner-up is currently fifth in the track championship standings, earning six top-ten finishes in seven starts.
