NEW CASTLE, IN (August 7, 2017) – In hopes of collecting a grand total of $18,000 in two days, the largest payday of his young career, Caleb Armstrong will continue his 2017 campaign with a visit to the Mansfield Motor Speedway in Mansfield, Ohio. The inaugural Great Lakes Dirt Nationals will headline competition at the state-of-the-art venue, awarding a $3,000 top prize on Friday, August 11, followed by a $15,000 finale on Saturday, August 12.

Armstrong, a full-time traveler on the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions trail, will enter the weekend on a stretch of impressive finishes during 410 cubic inch competition, recently finishing fourth with the Ohio Sprint Car Series during the 19th Annual Freedom 40 at Atomic (OH) Speedway on Saturday, August 5. It was Armstrong’s lone start of the weekend, taking advantage of the break in the Arctic Cat All Star schedule.

“We’ve been excited to get back to Mansfield Motor Speedway ever since the All Stars were there earlier this season. We didn’t get to race the A-main because of the weather, but we still learned a ton about the place,” Armstrong said, pilot of the Baker Crop Insurance/Neal Metal Recycling/All-Star Performance/Armstrong Farms/No. 7C. “Things have been going pretty well for the us the last few weeks. Despite the big payday, this is more of a pressure free weekend for us; no Series points on the line, and a great way to test before we come back in October with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions. I’m excited to get there.”

Caleb Armstrong will enter the Great Lakes Dirt Nationals as a prime contender, earning not only a top-five during a recent start at Atomic Speedway, but also logging a pair of top-ten finishes during his recent Arctic Cat All Star trek through the Empire State. The New Castle, Indiana, native has earned a total of 15 top-ten finishes thus far in 2017 during Arctic Cat All Star competition, six inside the top-five.

The Arctic Cat All Star schedule will not resume until Thursday, August 17, when “America’s Series” visits Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania; the first of four consecutive events in Central Pennsylvania.
