Chase Dietz Continues to Work Forward, Qualifies for Kevin Gobrecht Memorial Main

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

YORK, Pa. (June 28, 2016) – Third generation racer Chase Dietz continued his 2016 campaign on Saturday evening, June 25, at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Dietz joined the notorious “Pennsylvania Posse” for what was round one of Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek, chasing the $7,000 top prize and a second career victory at the speedway. Despite frustrating results during preliminary competition, timing 30th quick out of 40 entries and finishing sixth during his respective heat race, Chase Dietz would persevere and qualify for the Kevin Gobrecht Memorial main event through the evening’s consolation.

Dietz, pilot of the Haas Shocks, Godfrey Racing Engines, Embee & Sons, Gardy Enterprises, Mark’s Automotive, Pancho’s Race Products, Keizer Wheels, Beer Hill Gang, No. 2D, went on to finish 18th during the 30-lap/$7,000-to-win main event, advancing from row 12.

“It wasn’t the night we were looking for, but we still earned our way in, so that’s something to be proud of,” Chase Dietz explained. “Qualifying outside of a heat race inversion spot really puts you behind the eight ball in a hurry. We passed a few cars during the heat, but didn’t quite get high enough to make the show. After getting through the consi, we decided to try a few things during the feature. We actually came in and changed a few things during a red. We’re always learning and trying to improve. There is plenty of racing left in the season.”

Chase Dietz will not return to 410 sprint car competition until after the upcoming holiday weekend.
