Chase Dietz Will Battle Arctic Cat All Stars at Williams Grove Speedway

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

YORK, PA (August 16, 2016) – After earning a recent top-ten finish for car owner Troy Godfrey on Friday, August 5, York native Chase Dietz will return to the driver seat of the familiar Godfrey Racing Engines/No. 5 this Friday night, August 19, and challenge the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions for a $5,000 top prize during the 34th annual Jack Gunn Memorial. It will be the first and only visit by the All Stars in 2016, bringing along a stout field of regional travelers to compete head-to-head with the “Pennsylvania Posse.”

Dietz, a recent 410 sprint car winner in Central Pennsylvania, finished eighth during his first and only Williams Grove Speedway start for Godfrey in 2016, charging forward from row six on the main event starting grid. The 2015 North American 410 Sprint Car Rookie of the Year recipient will attempt to outdo his recent Williams Grove Speedway appearance by defending home dirt against the traveling All Stars, ultimately working to earn the largest payday of his career.

“Troy Godfrey gave me a great opportunity to race with the All Stars this Friday night. I’m excited to see what we can do,” Dietz explained. “This will only be our second start of the year in a 410 at The Grove, but we have a lot of laps together there as an owner/driver duo. We were fortunate enough to earn the 358 track championship last season, so we’ll attempt to use some of that knowledge when we get back there on Friday night. I think we have a lot of potential. I couldn’t be more excited to get back to Williams Grove Speedway.”

Chase Dietz will enter competition on Friday night with a recent start at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway under his belt, finishing 17th during the $5,000-to-win, National Fallen Firefighters Night In Memory of Brandon Little program in his family-owned, Haas Shocks, Start To Finish Roll Off, LLC, Godfrey Racing Engines, Embee & Sons, Gardy Enterprises, Mark’s Automotive, Pancho’s Race Products, Keizer Wheels, Beer Hill Gang, No. 2D. Despite results equaling less than expectation, Dietz learned a lot from his Lincoln Speedway visit and will apply that knowledge Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway. Dietz has one victory at Lincoln Speedway in 2016, occurring back on Saturday, July 16.

“Tough night for us in the family car, but we’ll adjust,” Dietz explained. “I’m fortunate enough to have a family that supports a race team for my sister and I. We understand that results may not always live up to expectation, but that won’t keep us from thinking positive. I just want to thank everyone again; all of those from the Godfrey team and my own. I wouldn’t be where I am today without their help.”
