Cody Bova 14th During First FAST 305 Series Outing;
Back to Home Territory on Saturday, April 30

STRUTHERS, Ohio (April 26, 2016) – After Mother Nature washed away all potential for action at Attica Raceway Park on Friday night, April 22, Cody Bova and his J.S. Bova Excavating, AIMI Product Imagining, LLC., Richardson Tree Service, BC Contracting, Gressman Powersports, No. 20B operation made their first FAST 305 Series start of 2016 on Saturday night, April 23, at Fremont Speedway. The Struthers, Ohio, native, who will commit to the entire JLH General Contractors FAST 305 Series presented by Engine Pro schedule in 2016, finished 14th during main event action at the “Track That Action Built,” earning his feature starting spot the hard way. Bova rallied from a fourth row starting position to finish third during heat race competition, an automatic transfer and redraw spot.
“Had to start deep to get the night started on Saturday, but we made the best of it,” explained Cody Bova. “We moved forward in the heat race which put us in the redraw. That was big for us. We didn’t want to get stuck running one of the B-mains. We were pretty happy with how the night went after that. We started seventh and ran 14th. Doug Kekich gave me a great race car, I just made a few mistakes that cost us some spots. All in all, good way to start the FAST 305 Series season. We know we have speed, we just need to capitalize on those top-ten starting positions.”
With FAST 305 Series competition on break until Friday and Saturday, May 13-14, Cody Bova will switch gears and travel back to Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania, during the upcoming weekend. The 2015 “MRP” Outlaw Sprint Warriors champion will search for a little redemption this Saturday night, April 30, after suffering from a “DNF” during his last Mercer outing.
“We have some time off until our next FAST race, so we’ll stay close to home this weekend and head over to Mercer,” said Cody Bova. “We didn’t even make it to the green flag during our last visit to ‘MRP,’ so we are all anxious to get back there and make up for that result. So many people I want and need to thank. They know who they are. They allow our traveling to take place. We have a busy season ahead and that wouldn’t be possible without their help and support.”
