Allison Park, PA (November 13th, 2014) – After a rather successful 2014 campaign, which saw Allison Park, Pennsylvania native Colton Flinner compete regularly in the super late model ranks as well as make occasional starts during crate late model competition, Flinner and the family owned ‘75’ team is already looking forward to 2015. Flinner, who piloted the American Framers, VOX Energy, A.W. Beattie Career Center, Bellisarios Lounge, Randig Towing, no. 75 super late model during much of the 2014 season, plans to launch the upcoming year with a trip to Florida. The former two-time Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway crate late model track champion has intentions to join the stars and cars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in February of 2015; racing six consecutive nights at the East Bay Raceway Park near Tampa, Florida. The 39th Annual ‘Winternationals’ will feature some of the nation’s most recognized super late model teams, all vying for prizes of $5,000, $7,000 and $10,000 over the course of the week.

“It was a fun year for sure, but we are already looking forward to next year!” explained Colton Flinner, “We’ve been kicking around the idea of going to Florida in February and racing at East Bay Raceway Park with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series…it would be a great way to get the year started…it is a lot of racing in a short period of time…perfect opportunity to get a head start on the year and gain a lot of seat time…we are still learning a lot about our super late model program…I want to race as much as possible…heading south during the winter months allows that to happen…I just want to thank everyone who has been behind me…we have a lot of great sponsors and people who support me and our team…we’ll work hard this off season and prepare for our potential trip to East Bay.”

Colton Flinner entered super late model competition regularly at the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania during much of his 2014 season. Despite not earning a feature victory, the Allison Park, Pennsylvania native still earned a top-five finish in the final track championship standings; finishing fourth officially in the 2014 ‘P.P.M.S.’ super late model championship. Flinner also made a variety of starts during crate late model competition in 2014; earning two victories at ‘P.P.M.S.’ including one during Sweeney RUSH Touring Series action. The western Pennsylvania youngster also recorded a three-quarter scale late model victory in 2014; also occurring at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. Flinner’s RUSH Touring Series victory worth $1,200 was a career-first accomplishment. The pilot of the familiar ‘75’ now has career victories with both of the region’s most recognized crate late model series; RUSH and FASTRAK.

“‘P.P.M.S.’ has always been really good to me” said Flinner, “We did some other traveling this year like Lernerville Speedway and Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex…but Pittsburgh is close and has always been our ‘home track’ for the most part…we learned a lot this year and we kept getting better every time we were on the track; especially in the super late model…I just need to thank all of my sponsors, family and supporters…it was a fun year…had our ups and downs but we kept moving forward…I can’t wait to do it again!”
