Colton Flinner in crate late model action at PPMS earlier this year

Pittsburgh, PA – 7/19/12] Allison Park, Pennsylvania native and Team Fully Injected crate late model star, Colton Flinner, now finds himself in control of Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in more ways than one. The recent high school graduate now finds himself on top of the current Brougher’s Machine Shop – Pro Late Model track standings at ‘PPMS,’ and is now on the right path towards successfully defending his 2011 title. Flinner was the 2011 Pro Late Model track champion at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, and continued with crate late model competition again in 2012. Flinner also holds down the top spot in the current Pro Late Model ‘Sizzler Series’ standings at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. The ’75’ team hopes to capture not only the overall track championship again in 2012, but also the overall ‘Sizzler Series’ title; giving Flinner all the momentum he needs to make a safe transition into super late model competition in the future.

Colton Flinner has a 12 point advantage over fellow crate late model competitor, Kyle Lukon, in the current track standings. The familiar black ’75’ is still winless at ‘Dirt’s Monster Half Mile’ in 2012, but hopes to change that this weekend. A win would allow Flinner to extend his point point to a more comfortable advantage. Flinner finished second from a mid-pack starting position in his most recent feature start at the big half mile, while also earning a victory in his respective heat race.

Action will pick back up at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway this Saturday night, July 21st, with the FASTRAK/Pro Late Models on the weekend schedule; co-headlining with the UFo ‘Tri-State 51 Championship” for super late models. The next big event for Colton Flinner, and the entire ’75’ crate late model team, will be on Saturday evening, July 28th. The ‘Sizzler Series’ will come back to life at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, offering a 30 lap main event for the crate late models. The 30 lapper will pay $1,500-to-win, and also offer full points towards the overall ‘Sizzler Series’ standings. The ‘Sizzler Series’ event on July 28th will be round #4 of 7 on the 2012 schedule.
