Cory Haas showing consistency in Posse Country

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

YORK, Pa. (June 18, 2018) – It was another consistent weekend in Central Pennsylvania for York’s Cory Haas, increasing his recent top-ten streak to four consecutive including a runner-up finish during the 15th Annual Weldon Sterner Memorial at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway on June 16.

Haas kicked-off his evening in the Pigeon Hills by recording the sixth fastest time during qualifying time trials, right before earning a victory during his respective heat race. Although earning the pole position for the 33-lap, $6,900-to-win main event, Haas was forced to chase “The Edge” Brian Montieth the entire distance, getting one last chance to get by the six-time track champion with just two circuits remaining. Unfortunately, Haas didn’t have enough, forced to settle for second at the final checkers.

In addition to his Weldon Sterner result, Haas’ recent top-ten streak includes a third place performance at the world-famous Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, June 8; a sixth place finish at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, June 9; and a tenth place finish back at The Grove on Friday, June 15.

The stretch of success is a perfect momentum boost heading into Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek. Haas will get one more weekend of weekly competition before Speedweek begins on Friday, June 29.

“We’ll take that,” Haas said of his Weldon Sterner finish at Lincoln, driver of the Trone Outdoor Motorsports No. 39. “We’ve been good lately. I think we are finally starting to build some positive momentum. If we are going to get hot, this is the time to do it. I can’t thank John Trone, my family, and all of my supporters enough for their hard work and dedication. Results like these help us stay confident. I’m excited to see what the rest of the month holds for us.”

Tentatively, Cory Haas and Trone Outdoor Motorsports will enter six PA Sprint Speedweek programs; a pair at Port Royal Speedway, Lincoln Speedway and Williams Grove Speedway.
