CRATE INNOVATIONS “PERFORMANCE PLUS” AWARD TO OFFER ACCELERATOR-1 CARB SPACER KIT AT EACH SWEENEY RUSH LM TOURING SERIES EVENT IN 2014

(FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE)
(Pulaski, PA)…Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Series Directors Vicki Emig and Mike Leone are thrilled to welcome yet another Major Contingency Sponsor to the 2014 line-up. Crate Innovations Inc. will award an Accelerator-1 one-inch angled carburetor spacer kit to a driver at each of the 20 Sweeney Tour events for the upcoming season.

Beginning on May 30 at the season opening Sweeney Tour event at New York’s Freedom Speedway with position one and continuing through the 20th and final event on October 25 at Lernerville Speedway, the Crate Innovations Inc. “Performance Plus” award will offer an Accelerator-1 carb spacer kit valued at $129 to the feature finishing position that corresponds with the event number. (Note: Drivers will only be eligible to win the product once, which will ensure that 20 different racers will receive the product! In the event the finishing position for the event turns out to be a driver that has already won the product, the next position will be used.)

The carb spacer kit includes one billet aluminum Accelerator-1, one upper and one lower spacer gasket, four specifically designed washers used for installation, and instructions on how to modify your carburetor to use this spacer.

“The Accelerator-1 product is a great addition to our RUSH contingency programs,” stated Emig. “This product, along with several others that Crate Innovations will soon be introducing, is a great example of just how much crate racing knowledge surrounds us in the Northeast region. We’ve already seen many of our racers excel in national events and now to actually see products being developed right in our own backyard and marketed nationwide to crate racers is a true testament to how important crate racing has become throughout our region.”

The Accelerator-1 product is developed and produced by racers and engine builders with renowned engine builder Don Blackshear heading up the design team. The product will remove the mid-corner bobble that is inherent with crate engines providing a more event float level through the corners at race speeds. Other benefits include stronger carburetor booster signal for quicker throttle response and smoother acceleration, and proper carb placement on intake for mid-corner acceleration, when the car is rocked up and changes direction.

After months of flow bench, dyno testing and track testing with a few of the top Northeast Crate racers with outstanding results the Accelerator-1 is now available for all racers. The new Accelerator-1 product has already had early season success with opening night wins at McKean County Raceway, Sharon Speedway, and Tyler County Speedway. In fact, the top three finishers at the Sharon Sweeney Weekly Series event that included Alan Dellinger, Dennis Lunger, Jr., and Will Thomas III all were running the product!

Ruhlman of Bemus Point, New York, who expects to contend for both the Sweeney Weekly and Touring Series Championships in the Terry Suppa-owned #4s and won the McKean County April 19 feature, stated, “These need to be on every engine that is sold”.

The Accelerator-1 carb spacer kit is RUSH/NeSmith-approved and is also applicable for Super Late Models and E-Mods. Dealers for the Accelerator-1 one-inch angled carburetor spacer kit include Pace Performance, Race-1, Blackshear Racing Engines, Hendren Racing Engines, High Gear Speed Shop, and Stealth Racing Carburetors.
