Danny Dietrich earns another top-ten in the Pigeon Hills;
Potential triple-header ahead in Central Pennsylvania

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, PA (April 3, 2017) – After having to start 12th on the feature grid due to the handicap format, “Double-D” Danny Dietrich charged forward five positions and secured his third consecutive top-ten finish at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, April 1. In actuality, Dietrich, who finished seventh on April Fools’ Day, has yet to finish outside of the top-seven, opening the season with back-to-back victories including the annual Icebreaker 30 worth $4,000.

“Not a bad finish, but I think we were faster than that,” Dietrich explained. “Our right rear tire shrunk roughly two and a half inches during the feature. That made the car really, really tight. Regardless, we made the most of our starting spot and drove to a top-ten finish. We’ll take that and move on to next week.”

Danny Dietrich, pilot of the Gary Kauffman Racing/Weikert’s Livestock/Sandoe’s Fruit Market/Pace Performance/Gsell’s Whitetails/Hickory Run Orchards/Carlisle Auto Salvage/CATS Used Truck Parts/Drop Of Ink Tattoo/Bowman Block & Head Repair/Sweeney Cars/Self Made/No. 48, will move ahead and begin preparing for a potential three-race weekend in Central Pennsylvania, beginning with competition back at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg on Friday night, April 7.

Following his visit to the world-famous paperclip, Dietrich will return to Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, April 8, hunting for his third victory of the season in the Pigeon Hills and a fourth consecutive top-ten appearance. If things go according to plan, the Gary Kauffman Racing stable will make the trip to Susquehanna Speedway near York Haven, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, April 9; the first of seven 410 cubic inch sprint car events at the recently revamped facility in 2017.

“We haven’t quite made up our minds yet regarding Sunday. That decision will most likely depend on how things go on Friday and Saturday,” Dietrich explained. “I can’t thank my crew enough for what they do for me. They bust their butts all week and weekend, and I appreciate everything. Whether we race once this weekend or three times this weekend, their effort is going to be the same. We’ll see what happens.”
