GETTYSBURG, PA (June 5, 2017) – “Double-D” Danny Dietrich ended his recent weekend of competition on the podium twice, scoring back-to-back runner-up finishes during action at Williams Grove (PA) Speedway and Port Royal (PA) Speedway on Friday and Saturday, June 2-3, respectively. Dietrich, who is currently on top of the Central PA Sprint Series presented by Hoseheads.com point standings, has been on the podium three times at Williams Grove Speedway in 2017, also earning prior podiums at Port Royal Speedway, one of which during Bob Weikert Memorial weekend.

“We were close again, just not close enough,” Danny Dietrich explained. “We’ll never be disappointed with runner-up finishes, but we want to be back on top. Regardless, I’m proud of everyone involved. I have a great crew and an amazing fan base. We have big things coming ahead. It’s going to be a great month of June.”

Danny Dietrich will continue his 2017 campaign with a Central Pennsylvania triple-header comprised of events at Susquehanna Speedway, Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway on Thursday through Saturday, June 8-10, respectively. The three-race weekend will commence on Thursday evening with SprintCarUnlimited.com Night at Susquehanna Speedway in York Haven.

“We have a big weekend ahead, followed by an even bigger week,” Dietrich said. “I’m excited for the opportunity to race with the wing off in a few weeks. It should be a lot of fun.”
