Danny Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing Will Join ‘America’s Series’ at Attica
Danny Holtgraver Looks for First Victory of 2015

Pittsburgh, PA (March 31st, 2015) – The Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio will host the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions for the annual HD Supply ‘Spring Nationals’ this Friday and Saturday, April 3rd & 4th; officially kicking-off the 2015 All Star point championship. Danny Holtgraver, pilot of the Phoenix Racing, Auto Electric of Jupiter, Florida, Southern Pacific Farms, Bonnell’s Rod Shop, DKW Transport, no. 59 ‘410’ sprint car, will join the UNOH All Stars at the Attica bullring for two complete programs this Friday and Saturday; aiming to collect the $8,000 up for grabs over the course of the weekend. Holtgraver is a former Attica Raceway Park main event winner with the All Star Circuit of Champions, and has three All Star Circuit of Champions victories to his credit within the last twelve months.
“We are definitely ready to go” said Holtgraver, “Having the time off was really nice, but I’m ready to get back to work…we’re anxious to get to Attica this weekend so hopefully the forecast improves for us a little bit…the weather and the temperature have been our toughest opponents lately…regardless, it should be a fun weekend…I’ve had some luck and success at Attica in the past so our plan is to repeat that this weekend…I just want to thank Tom and Sherry Leidig again for this opportunity…the team works really hard and it will pay off very soon.”
Despite not being able to earn a victory since joining forces in late 2014, Danny Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing have displayed a respectable amount of success. Just this February, the ‘59’ team earned three consecutive top-ten finishes with the All Star Circuit of Champions at the Bubba Raceway Park near Ocala, Florida; including a fourth place performance on Saturday, February 7th. The Tom and Sherry Leidig owned operation will look to put a few ‘checks’ in the win column this Friday and Saturday.
“We improve and learn more every time we hit the track” said Holtgraver, “We have the potential and the work ethic that it takes to win races, we just need to find that little bit of luck that we are missing…we’ll keep working as hard as we can…we are going to be visiting some tracks that I am comfortable with, and places where I have been successful at…we’ll try to mix this all together and come out on top.”
