PITTSBURGH (May 17, 2016) – For the second time in 2016, “Downtown” Danny Holtgraver scored a podium finish with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions, this time at home in front of his family and friends.

Holtgraver, a full-time traveler on the Arctic Cat All Star trail with Pete Grove’s Premier Motorsports, finished second on Friday night, May 13, at Lernerville Speedway, advancing from a third row starting position during the 30-lap, $5,000-to-win, main event. A second place finish during heat race competition solidified Holtgraver’s main event appearance, eventually finishing fifth in the Arctic Cat All Star dash. The Pittsburgh native is now eighth in the Arctic Cat All Star standings, accumulating two top-five/three top-ten finishes thus far in 2016.

“We needed a good night like that. Feels good to race that well in front of my home crowd,” explained Holtgraver. “Sometimes things just don’t go your way, but on Friday, they did. I can’t thank my team enough for what they do. Cody Jacobs is one of the hardest working guys I know. My car owner Pete Grove has stood firmly behind us since the start. We’ll keep working hard and keep pushing for positive results. We are well overdue for a victory on the road.”

Danny Holtgraver and Premier Motorsports will continue their 2016 campaign on Friday and Saturday, May 20-21, with a long trip west to Illinois and Wisconsin, once again joining the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions for a pair of $5,000-to-win programs. The weekend will be comprised of two, full programs, beginning Friday evening, May 20, at the Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois. Action will continue on Saturday evening, May 21, at the Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin, the lone Arctic Cat All Star visit to “The Badger State” this season. It will be Holtgraver’s first and only appearance at each of the speed plants in 2016.

“We’re excited to get back on the road,” said Holtgraver. “Especially after finishing second on Friday. We need to get a few more finishes like that. We’ve been missing momentum all season. That plays a huge role in any season.”
