Danny Holtgraver Ready For Action In Three States!
Pittsburgh, PA -8/14/12 -Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native and All-Star Circuit of Champions ‘Ohio Region’ competitor, Danny Holtgraver, is locked and loaded for what could be one of the busiest weekends of his 2012 season. Holtgraver will be competing at three different dirt ovals this weekend in three different states; while also driving for three separate car owners. The former Lernerville Speedway track champion will be in action this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – August 17th-19th – at Wayne County Speedway, Butler Motor Speedway, and Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway. Holtgraver, who recently returned home from four nights of action at the 52nd Annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals, will look to sweep the weekend, and earn a victory for three different teams.
“It’s going to be a really busy weekend!” explained Holtgraver about the upcoming weekend, “We will be on the road a lot and exposed to three different race tracks in three different states…should be a lot of fun and hopefully we can get some good runs and put ourselves up front!”
Danny Holtgraver will kick-off the upcoming weekend at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio on Friday night, August 17th. The ‘Summer Sizzler’ will highlight the Friday night program at Wayne County Speedway, with Holtgraver looking to capture the ‘410’ sprint car main event while piloting the Bryan Grove owned no. 45. Holtgraver will pilot the familiar ’45’ on Friday night, only; giving both the driver and team an opportunity to compete at Wayne County Speedway before the upcoming All-Star Circuit of Champions event over Labor Day weekend on Sunday, September 2nd.
“Can’t thank Bryan enough” said Holtgraver, “This is just a great way for both of us to get a good look at Wayne County Speedway this weekend before the All-Star show there next month…helps him out as well as myself for when I come back in my own car.”
On Saturday evening, August 18th, Danny Holtgraver and his familiar Kargo Quality Cars and Trucks/Alternative Power Sources ‘D4’ program will return to All-Star Circuit of Champions ‘Ohio Region’ action for one night of competition in the state of Michigan worth $5,000. The Butler Motor Speedway in Quincy, Michigan will host the All-Star Circuit of Champions for one night of action this Saturday; making it the first and only Michigan stop for the All-Star Circuit of Champions in 2012. Holtgraver, who follows the All-Star ‘Ohio Region’ schedule full-time in 2012, currently sits fifth in the ‘Ohio Region’ standings entering this weekend’s only All-Star program. The ‘D4’ team, lead by crew chief Brian Kemenah, set quick time at this event last season, before earning a top 10 finish in the main event.
“We were really good at Butler last year!” said Holtgraver, “We set quick time at this place last year before finishing inside the top ten during the main event…that helps our confidence a lot and hopefully we can put the ‘D4’ up front!”
Danny Holtgraver will wrap-up the upcoming weekend on Sunday night, August 19th, at the Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway in Bedford, Pennsylvania. Holtgraver will pilot the Tom and Fran Chiappelli owned no. 98 for the 30 lap/$3,500-to-win/$300-to-start event that was originally scheduled for June 3rd. The Golden Flavor Sesame Sticks sponsored machine will go wheel-to-wheel with Pennsylvania’s finest, as most of the ‘Pennsylvania Posse’ regulars are scheduled to make the trip west. This will be Holtgraver’s first ever appearance at Bedford’s big half-mile in the familiar gold and brown no. 98 machine.
“I just really want to thank Tom and Fran Chiappelli for giving me another opportunity to drive their car” said Holtgraver, “We have made some good chemistry so far…hopefully we can continue to turn good results…the plan is to end the weekend on a very positive note!”
