Pittsburgh, PA (June 30th, 2014) – After spending the last ten (10) days on the road racing with the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions during the 2014 edition of ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek,’ as well as making a Sunday visit to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for an ‘open’ sprint car event on June 29th, Danny Holtgraver is finally home. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native ended his 2014 ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ campaign seventh (7th) in the final ‘speedweek’ point standings; on the strength of one (1) ‘speedweek’ victory during the six race swing (nine (9) originally scheduled dates but lost three (3) to Mother Nature). Holtgraver’s lone ‘speedweek’ victory took place at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Saturday evening, June 21st. The Eldora Speedway win was the first of Holtgraver’s young career. Although the full-time UNOH All Star traveler experienced plenty of ‘highs’ during his 2014 ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ journey, the former Lernerville Speedway champion did experience a few ‘rough spots.’

“We had a pretty good week…a little rough at times but we battled through it and kept moving forward” explained Danny Holtgraver, “I’m still shook up about winning at Eldora Speedway…that place is legendary; maybe the most famous racetrack in the country…to get a win there is huge and I couldn’t have done it without everyone’s help…we had a few rough nights…tore up some stuff but we never let that get to us…this Hunter Racing team works very, very hard…Pup, Barman, my Dad, Earl, Josh, Rob Hunter; these are the guys that make winning possible…I really can’t thank Rob Hunter enough…he is making this entire season possible; allowing me to do what I love every single weekend…we’re gonna keep moving forward and see what happens!”

Although ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ officially ended on Saturday, June 28th at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio; Danny Holtgraver and Hunter Racing still made one additional weekend visit. The Hunter Racing ‘10H’ team made a stop at the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway half-mile near Imperial, Pennsylvania on Sunday, June 29th; a home for late model competition each and every weekend, but still the home for ‘410’ sprint cars on an occasional basis. Danny Holtgraver would earn the ‘P.P.M.S.’ win on Sunday, June 29th; raising the ‘Pittsburgh Kid’s’ win total to six (6) on the year; including two (2) UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions victories (Eldora, OH and Butler, MI). The Sunday night victory was worth $2,000.

“Ending our long road trip with a win was great…especially so close to where I am from” said Holtgraver, “We always like going to ‘P.P.M.S.’…we’ve always been rather successful there…a lot of our family and friends make the trip there to watch us race since it’s so close…we can’t wait to go back!”

The upcoming holiday weekend will be action-packed once again for Danny Holtgraver and Hunter Racing. The ‘10H’ operation will enter competition on three (3) consecutive days at three (3) different Ohio venues; kicking-off Thursday, July 3rd and ending on Saturday, July 5th. Holtgraver will launch his Independence Day weekend with UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions competition at the Atomic Speedway near Chillicothe, Ohio on Thursday, July 3rd.

The holiday weekend swing will continue on Friday evening, July 4th at the Hilltop Speedway near Millersburg, Ohio. ‘Santmyer Oil Veterans Appreciation Night’ is on tap at the Millersburg oval on July 4th; featuring a $3,500-to-win pay day for the ‘410’ sprint cars. Danny Holtgraver’s upcoming weekend will come to close on Saturday evening, July 5th at the NAPA Wayne County Speedway near Orrville, Ohio. The UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions will be the featured attraction at ‘WCS’ on Saturday night; a rescheduled event from their canceled ‘speedweek’ program back on Monday, June 23rd. Each UNOH All Star program will award a $5,000 winner’s share; along with UNOH All Star ‘National’ and ‘Ohio Region’ points.

Danny Holtgraver, who pilots the Hunter Racing, Berlin Natural Bakery, Golden Flavor Sesame Sticks, Bonnell’s Rod Shop, Alternative Power Sources, WestView Motors, DKW Transport, no. 10H ‘410’ sprinter, will enter the upcoming three-race holiday swing fourth (4th) in the UNOH All Star ‘National’ standings, as well as fourth (4th) in the UNOH All Star ‘Ohio Region’ standings; on the strength of two (2) series victories.
