Delaware International Speedway’s Fulton Bank 50 Shifts To Aug. 13 On World of Outlaws Late Model Series Schedule

Date Change Sets Up Blockbuster WoO LMS Tripleheader In Mid-Atlantic Region

DELMAR, Del. – March, 2 2015 – The Fulton Bank 50 scheduled for May 28 at Delaware International Speedway has been shifted to Thursday, Aug. 13, setting up a three-race World of Outlaws Late Model Series weekend in the Mid-Atlantic region.

The date change puts the national tour’s annual visit to Delaware’s half-mile oval ahead of events at Potomac Speedway (Aug. 14) in Budds Creek, Md., and Winchester Speedway (Aug. 15) in Winchester, Va. The tripleheader weekend proved to be a hit with the region’s fans and race teams last season when a May rainout forced Delaware’s WoO LMS event to be rescheduled ahead of the Potomac-Winchester double.

“Having last year’s Fulton Bank 50 before Potomac and Winchester made for a great tripleheader that was well received by our race teams and fans,” WoO LMS Series Director Tim Christman said. “We look forward to having such a great event be part of another fantastic weekend again this season.”

The WoO LMS is currently seven races into a 2015 slate that features more than 50 planned race dates. With an impressive four victories on the young season, Shane Clanton of Zebulon, Ga., leads the series standings by 90 points over three-time and defending series champion Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky.

The WoO LMS next competes during a doubleheader weekend March 20-21 at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Ky., and I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark. The tour then heads for Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Ill., March 27-28 for two complete programs during the Douglas Dodge Ram Trucks Illini 100.
