Despite Challenges, Bradley Howard Enjoying Time on the Road

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

ETTERS, Pa. (June 29, 2016) – Ohio Sprint Speedweek can be a true test for any sprint car team, especially an Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions rookie of the year contender. Bradley Howard, an Etters, Pennsylvania, native who is touring, with any sprint car series, for the first time in his career, recently completed his first ever Ohio Sprint Speedweek attempt. The third generation racer entered all eight speedweek events during the nine day campaign in 2016, visiting eight different facilities all across the Buckeye State.

When the dust settled on Saturday night at Eldora Speedway, Howard found himself tied for 23rd in the final Ohio Sprint Speedweek standings. To some, Howard’s Ohio Sprint Speedweek results may be deemed as unsuccessful, but to Howard, the trip was more than rewarding.

“We are having the time of our lives right now. There’s no other way to really describe it,” Bradley Howard explained. “We knew Ohio Sprint Speedweek was going to be a challenge, but that’s what made it so much fun. The opportunity to travel with my family and crew, visit new tracks, and race in front of new fans, all during one of the biggest traditions in sprint car racing, is priceless. We didn’t have the results we wanted or needed, but we’ll get there eventually. It’s challenging for us and we’re still new. Now that we understand what it takes and what to expect, we’ll be better prepared in the future. I can’t wait to do it again.”

Bradley Howard was short of qualifying for all eight Ohio Sprint Speedweek programs, choosing to bypass his last two Arctic Cat All Star provisionals in the process. Despite some levels of disappointment, the element of frustration never kicked in, always keeping an eye on the big picture.

“I don’t think we’ll ever become frustrated. We enjoy what we’re doing too much,” said Howard. “It’s still pretty cool to think that we are out here on the road with the All Stars. We’ve had the privilege of building a lot of new relationships on and off the track. That’s one of the most important parts of this deal. I learn from everyone I race with. Hopefully I can return the favor and pass on my own experiences as the season goes on.”

Bradley Howard, pilot of the Rocket Drywall, DeRock Electric Company, Harcon Construction, J&W Ace Hardware, Stauffer Motorsports, No. 49H, will continue his 2016 Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions campaign on Saturday and Sunday, July 2-3, with back-to-back programs in Michigan. Hartford Speedway and I-96 Speedway will each host Arctic Cat All Star competition during Independence Day weekend, the last Michigan visit of 2016 for the traveling series.

“This weekend is a new weekend,” said Howard. “We take things one day at a time and keep trying to improve.”
