Dietrich aims for Tuscarora 50 gold after consistent Labor Day weekend

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (September 4, 2018) – Danny Dietrich’s Labor Day weekend was productive, to say the least, not only earning back-to-back top-five finishes during action at Port Royal Speedway, but also earning a positive supply of momentum that will prove useful during the 51st running of the Tuscarora 50 in less than a week.

Dietrich, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing No. 48 entry who flew the Weikert Livestock colors during action over Labor Day weekend, finished third and fourth, respectively, during his recent visits to the ‘Speed Palace,’ kicking things off with a third place performance during the Juniata County Fair opener on Saturday, September 1. ‘Double-D’ returned on Monday afternoon, September 3, and finished fourth; the result of a hard charge from the outside of row seven.

“We debuted a new car this weekend. Things are looking good so far,” Dietrich said, who owns nine victories in Central Pennsylvania thus far in 2018. “The Tuscarora 50 is a big one. Not only is there a lot of money on the line, but just the history and fame alone makes it very appealing. Hopefully we can put our notes to good use this weekend and earn that big payday for all of our fans and supporters.”

Up next on the schedule, Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will return to the Port Royal Speedway ‘Speed Palace’ this Friday and Saturday, September 7 & 8, and join the All Star Circuit of Champions for the historic 51st running of the Tuscarora 50. Complete with two, full, All Star Circuit of Champions programs, the weekend will be highlighted with the 50-lap, $51,000-to-win, Tuscarora 50 main event on Saturday evening, September 8. Action will ignite, officially, on Friday evening with the $5,000-to-win Night Before the Tuscarora 50.

‘Double-D’ finished sixth during the 50th running of the Tuscarora 50 in 2017, an event that awarded $50,000.
