GETTYSBURG, Pa. (September 16, 2019) – Although winless in the Keystone State during his recent weekend of competition, a situation seldom occurring for the Gettysburg native, ‘Double-D’ Danny Dietrich found success in other criteria and scored back-to-back top-ten finishes during action at Williams Grove Speedway and Selinsgrove Speedway, kicking things off with a fifth place mount during Williams Grove’s Dirt Classic Qualifier on Friday, September 13.

Although falling short of matching his Williams Grove Speedway outcome, Dietrich capped his two-race weekend with an eighth place finish at Selinsgrove Speedway’s Jim Nace Memorial/National Open on Saturday, September 14. With each of his weekend results considered, Dietrich now owns a jaw-dropping 55 top-ten finishes in 2019, 14 of which are victories – four more than his 2018 total.

“It was just one of those weekends. It was a consistent few days for us, but we are not interested in being consistent. There are a lot of big money races on the line and we want to be in contention to win them,” Danny Dietrich said, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing/Weikert’s Livestock/Sandoe’s Fruit Market/Pace Performance/Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts/Drop Of Ink Tattoo/Sweeney Cars/Self Made/No. 48 sprint car. “The track was really fast at Selinsgrove. It made it pretty tough to pass, but I was trying my best to make things happen.”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2019 season with a trio of All Star Circuit of Champions starts, this time following the Tony Stewart-owned organization to Williams Grove Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and Hagerstown Speedway on Friday through Sunday, September 20-22, respectively. Certainly the highlight of the weekend, Saturday’s Dirt Classic at Lincoln Speedway will award a $20,000 top prize. A surefire favorite to win all three, Dietrich will enter the weekend as a two-time All Star winner in 2019, as well as a combined eight-time winner at Williams Grove and Lincoln.
