Already Looking Ahead to 2016

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

York, PA (November 16, 2015) – Third generation open wheel racer Chase Dietz officially concluded his 2015 season during the recent weekend, ending his eight-month campaign on top of the podium during Susquehanna Speedway Park’s Final Showdown. The Final Showdown, celebrated as Pennsylvania’s final sprint car event of the year, featured a full program of 358 and 410 sprint car competition on Saturday afternoon, November 14. Dietz entered both portions of the Saturday afternoon program, finishing 18th during the 410 main event and first during the 358 main event; Dietz’s sixth feature victory of the 2015 season and fifth during 358 sprint car competition. The York, Pennsylvania, native rallied from sixth to win the $2,000 top prize for car owner Troy Godfrey, taking command on lap-13 and never looking back.

“What a way to end a season!” said Chase Dietz, “We had a great day at Susquehanna (Speedway Park) on Saturday. I can’t thank my car owners and crews enough for what they did for me this season. These race teams slowly molded into family and I feel blessed to be a part it. Scott Gobrecht and Troy Godfrey each allowed me to live out my dream season and I am truly thankful for that. We have a lot to prepare for next season…I’m already excited for 2016.”

Chase Dietz will enter the off-season with plenty to add to his racing resume. The college freshman scored a career first 410 feature victory on August 15 at Lincoln Speedway, Dietz’s first top-five and one of four top-ten finishes at the Abbottstown oval while behind the wheel of the Scott Gobrecht-owned no. 44. The division rookie finished 11th in the final Lincoln Speedway 410 track championship standings, trailing a top-ten position by a mere 115 markers. The 2015 season would also see Dietz visit victory lane on four separate occasions at Williams Grove Speedway during 358 action, ultimately earning the 2015 track championship.

Official plans for the 2016 season have yet to be determined for Chase Dietz. News and updates regarding his upcoming campaign will be released in the near future.

“We haven’t made anything definite yet for next year” explained Dietz, “We’ll more than likely follow a similar schedule as 2015. For now, I just want to thank everyone who made this year possible. We stayed motivated all season and never let any negative results get to us. It was an amazing experience getting to race two different divisions all season. We hope to make that happen again in 2016.”
