The “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael is now on the #FIMotorsports Erratic Q&A hot seat. Michael is a full-time, Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions traveler who calls Texas home.
Let’s dig a little deeper, shall we?
Name and where you are from?
My name is TJ Michael and I’m from Plano, Texas.
When did you get into racing and what division did you start in?
I got started racing in the Kid Kart division at NTK in Denton, Texas, when I was 4-years-old.
If you could only race at one track, every weekend, for the rest of your career, where would it be?
This is a tough question, but recently I’ve really become a fan of Wayne County (OH) Speedway.
What is the weirdest food you put ketchup on?
You see, I’m not really a big ketchup fan at all. I’m more of a ranch guy. I’ll put ranch on a burger, pizza, spaghetti, you name it.
What celebrity would you rate as a perfect 10?
Megan Fox and Kate Upton
What is the dumbest way you’ve been injured?
I have a couple dumb injuries. One would be this year at the Rudzik shop, I got my index finger stuck in a shock dyno and still haven’t fully recovered from it.
If you were given a one-minute ad slot during the Super Bowl that you couldn’t sell, what would you fill it with?
Honestly, I would probably fill it with something related to my race team.
What’s the most useless talent you have?
Probably the most useless talent I have is that I’m really good at basketball. I haven’t played on a basketball team since I was about 12, but I’m really good.
If you could time travel, where would you go?
I’d probably go to the 80’s. The world wasn’t as negative. There was some bad ass race car drivers and the music is the best.
If you could eat only 3 foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?
This is an easy one: buffalo wings, steak and chips with queso.
Tell me 3 things you remember about kindergarten.
I remember having a pretty damn good looking teacher. I remember hating nap time. I remember my best friend in kindergarten was a kid named Kevin Brown.
If you could be an Olympic athlete, in what sport would you compete?
I would compete in basketball for sure. USA basketball doesn’t lose.
If you could live in any TV home, what would it be?
I’d probably live in Charlie Sheen’s house in the show Two And A Half Men because it’s on the beach. There’s always women there and Charlie is a bad ass.
If you could have dinner with anyone from history, who would it be? Why?
I would have to go with Dale Earnhardt simply because he was one of the best race car drivers to ever live and he had an attitude that nobody messed with. I’m a huge fan.
