Daryn Pittman, shown above at Mercer Raceway Park earlier this year, grabbed the victory in this evening’s first 20 lap feature event at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. 
  • Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania had to pull the plug on their Fab Four program for tonight. A late afternoon thunderstorm ended all chances for the Sarver, PA 4/10’s mile to get their show in the books. The cancelled event allowed Carl Bowser to clinch the 2011 Lernerville Speedway Track Championship. Fully Injected’s, Rod George, will most likely end up second in the championship’s final point standings.
  • Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania offered twin 20 lap features for the 410 sprint cars this evening. Perhaps one of the hottest drivers in the country this year, Daryn Pittman, picked up the first 20 lap feature event win; while midget phenom, Steve Buckwalter, grabbed the second 20 lap feature victory. Pittman is coming off a recent fifth place finish at the 51st Goodyear Knoxville Nationals.
  • The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series visited the River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, North Dakota this evening.  20-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Champion, Steve Kinser, picked up the victory worth $10,000 . The King battled with 4 time series champion, Donny Schatz, for the majority of the event; withstanding nine lead changes and eventually out dueling the Tony Stewart Racing teammate through the very last corner to grab the victory. 35 cars were signed in for the $10,000 to win event. Steve Kinser was the evening’s faster qualifier.
