The D4 with driver, Danny Holtgraver,  will next be seen at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa

Danny Holtgraver capitalized on his last weekend home before heading west to Knoxville, Iowa by winning the 25 lap feature event at Mercer Raceway Park last night. The Pittsburgh native started in row number two and took command of the 410 sprint car feature  before 1 lap was even completed. The caution plagued event never allowed lap traffic to be a real dominate factor in the contest; allowing Holtgraver to keep out front and collect another Mercer Raceway Park victory. Andy McKisson, recent Lernerville Speedway winner on Friday night, Carl Bowser, Bob Felmlee, and Fully Injected teammate, Rod George, completed the top 5. The D4 team will return to action next Saturday night August 6th at the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, for an All-Star Circuit of Champions event which is co-headlining the ASCS 360 Knoxville Nationals finale the same evening.

Rod George expressed some disappointment when discussing last night’s fifth place finish; “we had some trouble with the double file restarts…when we started on the outside, we would get a car; but if we started on the inside, we would get passed…we just had kind of a bad night.” Rod George will be back in action next weekend at Lernerville Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park.

Brandon Matus and Adam Kekich each earned heat race victories last night at the Mercer, PA bullring. Brandon Matus continued on to finish 8th in the feature event; continuing his streak of impressive western PA performances as he finds himself creeping closer and closer to his first 410 win. Adam Kekich, on the other hand, was unfortunately involved in a “no where to go” situation with a lapped car while running in the top 10, resulting in the Hermitage, PA native to get upside-down. He walked away hot, but unharmed.
