Green flag is ready to fly on Fab4 Fueled by Turner’s Opening Night 2015

Sarver, PA (April 14, 2015) The green flag is in the air and ready to drop on the 2015 season of Fab Four Racing Fueled by Turner’s Premium Iced Teas which starts with Opening Night this Friday, April 17. Budweiser Points will be on line right from the start, which means that Carl Bowser, Alex Ferree, Rex King Jr. and Jim Fosnaught will have to bring their A-Game from the start if they intend on standing victorious in Victory Lane on Championship Night in August.

2014 runners up Brandon Matus, John Garvin Jr. and Rob Shook still seek to add their names to the illustrious list of Lernerville Speedway Track Champions, while Brian Swartzlander looks to add to his Hall of Fame resume with an unprecedented eighth Track Championship in a single division. Inaugural Class Hall of Famers Bob Wearing Sr. and Lou Blaney each have nine total; split between two divisions.

In the Peoples TWP DIRTcar Sprints, Carl Bowser enters 2015 having scored his second Track Championship and five feature wins. The Peoples TWP Sprint division is chock-full of third generation stars with last year’s runner up Brandon Matus leading the way, while AJ Flick and Sye Lynch each have big shoes to fill following in the footsteps of their fathers and grandfathers. Lynch carries high hopes for 2015 National 410 Sprint Rookie of the Year consideration, just as Flick did last season. Eric Williams, Brandon Spithaler and Jack Sodeman Jr. each had off years in 2014 for different reasons, but could all challenge Bowser for the crown.

The Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Model division boasts a strong trio of drivers poised to steal the crown from Alex Ferree, (now a five-time Track Champion), coming off back-to-back titles. John Garvin Jr., Russell King and Mike Pegher Jr. are all title contenders, while young gun Michael Norris looks to shake off the dark clouds that that found him in 2014 and add to his two feature wins that provided the silver lining.

Rex King Jr. was a pleasant surprise in the Diehl Automotive DIRTcar Northeast Modifieds last season with five feature wins and his first Lernerville Track Championship. To do so, he had to hold off former Track Champions Brian Swartzlander and Dave Murdick, as well as his father Rex King Sr. Jeremiah Shingledecker and Mat Williamson will also be back in the title hunt for 2015, but the wild card of the division will be Garrett Krummert who returns to his Modified roots after trying his hand in the Late Models ranks the past few seasons.

Jim Fosnaught dominated the Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar Sportsman division with a total of seven feature wins en route to an emotional first championship for the Fosnaught family; brother Jason was a title contender a few years back before moving up to the Late Model and E-Mod ranks. Rob Shook and Corey McPherson chased Fosnaught the whole way to final checkered flag. As mentioned above, Shook seeks his first title, while McPherson pursues his third crown in four seasons. Former Track Champions Joe Kelley and Mike Miller will be in the hunt, as will rising stars Aaron Easler and Joey Zambotti. As always, the Sportsman division promises to be wide open with 8-10 cars capable of winning on any given night!

The new and improved infield scored debuted to rave reviews last Saturday during the annual Test & Tune practice session. The scoreboard displays the top ten positions on the track; is updated in real time by MyLaps Timing and Scoring; and has green, yellow and red lights to replicate track conditions.
