Haas earns third Billy Kimmel Memorial win at Williams Grove Speedway; Tuscarora 50 on deck

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

YORK, Pa. (September 4, 2018) – For the third time in his career, Cory Haas is a Billy Kimmel Memorial champion at Williams Grove Speedway, this time doing so from the front row and eventually leading every circuit of the 25-lap program. For Haas, the victory increased his win count to two on the season, each occurring at the world-famous Williams Grove Speedway.

Haas’ first win of the season took shape on Friday, April 6.

“I’m proud of this team. That win was a long time coming. I’m not sure what it is about the Billy Kimmel Memorial, but we’ve always had great luck at that race. It’s great to honor Billy and his family this way,” Cory Haas explained, driver of the Trone Outdoor Motorsports No. 39 sprint car. “It’s pretty tough to end a weekend any better than this. Our plan this weekend is to head to Port Royal and join the All Stars for the Tuscarora 50. It should be a lot of fun.”

Certainly growing into one of the premier sprint car events on the east coast, the annual Tuscarora 50 weekend will takeover Port Royal Speedway headlines this Friday and Saturday, September 7 & 8. Complete with two, full, Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 programs, the two-day blockbuster will be headlined with the 50-lap, $51,000-to-win/$1,000-to-start Tuscarora 50 on Saturday night.

The Night Before The Tuscarora 50 on Friday, September 7, will award a $5,000 top prize.

Haas is certainly no stranger to All Star Circuit of Champions competition. The York native will enter the weekend with one top-ten finish against the All Stars in five feature starts this season; a charge from 13th to seventh at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, August 25.
