Haas ends National Open campaign just outside of top-ten; The Grove and Lincoln on deck

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

YORK, Pa. (October 1, 2018) – The 2018 season is quickly coming to a close for Cory Haas and Trone Outdoor Motorsports, but not before another busy weekend in the Keystone State, this time with three features in two days.

Haas, driver of the familiar Trone Outdoor Motorsports/Trone Outdoor Advertising/Wicked Cushion/York PB Truss/No. 39 sprint car, will enter action at Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway, respectively, during the upcoming weekend, first entering the Williams Grove Speedway season finale on Friday, October 5, which will feature two features for the 410 sprint cars, the second being the Al Hamilton Tribute make-up feature worth $5,077 to the winner. The event was halted by rain during its original date.

Action will continue on Saturday, October 6, with the $25,000-to-win Dirt Classic 5. The premier, high-paying blockbuster was originally scheduled to take shape on Saturday, September 22, but was moved out of respect for the late, great Greg Hodnett.

“That’s one thing about racing in Central Pennsylvania – the schedule never seems to slow down. Even when the end is in sight, it’s still full tilt,” Cory Haas said, a two-time winner in Central Pennsylvania in 2018. “It has been an up and down season for this race team, but we have a pair of wins together and that is motivating. It’s not too late to get a few more.”

During recent competition, Cory Haas joined the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series for the 56th running of the Williams Grove Speedway National Open. Haas capped off the historic weekend by finishing 12th during the $56,000-to-win finale on Saturday, September 29. The York native started 16th on the grid and qualified for the main event after finishing third during his respective heat race.
