Haas Will Work to End Season on High Note, Busy Last Quarter Sits Ahead

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

YORK, PA (September 14, 2016) – Despite track championships and season schedules quickly coming to a close in Central Pennsylvania, York native Cory Haas still has plenty of activity remaining on his 2016 campaign. Season-ending action at the Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway will attract Haas’ attention, including the Third Annual Dirt Classic and the 54th Annual National Open featuring the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.

“Things really start to wind down for our team this time of the year, but we still have a lot to look forward to,” Haas explained, pilot of the Michael Barshinger Builder, Embee & Son, Inc, York P-B Truss, Inc., Thornton Chevrolet, Stone Grille Taphouse, Classic Rock Custom Stone, Keizer Wheels, Darrah’s Automotive, Trone Outdoor, Haas Shocks, Fully Injected Motorsports, No. 11C. “We’ll finish the season with all of the scheduled events at Williams Grove and Lincoln. There are still a lot of big money events remaining on the schedule so we’ll focus on those and look for a few wins.”

Cory Haas will enter the last quarter of his season in pursuit of a trip to victory lane; entering the midst of September still without a check in the win column. Despite the fact, a long list of top-five and top-ten finishes fill Haas’ 2016 resume, most recently at the Williams Grove Speedway where he finished second during the Billy Kimmel Memorial on Sunday, September 4. Haas has finished inside the top-ten on 13 separate occasions during feature action at Williams Grove Speedway in 2016, four of which were fifth or better in the running order.

At Lincoln Speedway, Haas finished fourth in the final track championship point standings, accumulating 11 top-ten finishes, three inside the top-five. His most recent top-ten performance occurred during the final night of championship points; finishing eighth during the 2nd Annual J.L. Howard Memorial on September 3.

“We’ve definitely been consistent this season, just haven’t been able to capitalize and get that first win,” Haas explained. “We have the potential and we have the motivation to win. I work with a great group of guys who know what it takes to be consistent on and off of the race track. We just need to take things one step further and get up front. I’m excited to see how the rest of the season unfolds.”

The Third Annual Dirt Classic at Lincoln Speedway, worth $20,000-to-win/$1,000-to-start, will be the first major event on the upcoming fall schedule for Cory Haas and the Mike Barshinger-owned operation, taking over headlines at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania, on Saturday evening, September 24.

“I can’t thank everyone enough for their help and support this season,” Cory Haas said. “I have a great car owner and some of the best partners in the business. I definitely wouldn’t be here without all of their help.”
