Holtgraver Earns First Win of 2016, Back to Work with All Stars on Friday & Saturday

PITTSBURGH (May 23, 2016) – For the first time in 2016, “Downtown” Danny Holtgraver earned his place in Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions victory lane, winning the IRA/All Star Sprint Challenge at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin, on Saturday, May 21. The Pittsburgh native started on the outside of the front row on Saturday night, eventually holding off charges by Sheldon Haudenschild and Dale Blaney during the 35-lapper. The $5,000 victory, his third consecutive podium finish during All Star competition which includes a runner-up finish at Lernerville and a third place finish at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway, was Holtgraver’s tenth career win with the traveling series, his first in the state of Wisconsin and his first since 2014.
“Things are starting to click and I’m really excited about it,” explained Holtgraver. “The first part of the year really didn’t go our way, but we stayed confident and kept our patience. It takes time to mold together and build a great team, and I feel we are on the right path toward that. I can’t thank everyone enough for their help and support. It’s exciting to earn these results. We’ll do our best to keep our podium streak alive.”

The long, holiday weekend will kick off officially at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on Friday evening, May 27, followed by an appearance at the Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio, on Saturday, May 28. Holtgraver is a former Arctic Cat All Star main event winner at each of the Ohio ovals, scoring his first ever Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions victory at Attica Raceway Park in 2012.
“We’ve been building a lot of momentum during these last few weekends,” said Danny Holtgraver. “We’ll put that to good use this weekend when we get back to Ohio.”
