Jack Sodeman, Jr. Will Join Greatest Show On Dirt Saturday at Lernerville

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

NORTH JACKSON, Ohio. (September 22, 2016) – The Commonwealth Clash featuring the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series will highlight competition at Don Martin’s Lernerville Speedway this Saturday evening, September 24; the second of two Western Pennsylvania appearances by the national travelers in 2016. Jack Sodeman, Jr., the 2016 Lernerville Speedway track champion and three-time main event winner, will join in on the action at the Sarver highbanks, attempting to outduel and outlast the Greatest Show On Dirt for a $10,000 winner’s share. For Sodeman, it will be his only start of the upcoming weekend.

“We haven’t had too many opportunities to race with these guys this year,” Jack Sodeman, Jr. explained. “We didn’t get to enter the Silver Cup in July due to my work schedule. With this race being on a Saturday, our plans to be there were basically a guarantee. They are the best of the best. To race up front with these guys takes more than a little luck. Our goal is to prove that we can be competitive. Obviously, we know our way around Lernerville Speedway pretty well, as do all of the guys who race there weekly. I think we can make some noise on Saturday.”

Jack Sodeman, Jr. put together a career season in 2016, earning not only the Lernerville Speedway track championship, but also the Mercer Raceway Park championship; snagging a combined total of nine main event victories between the two Western Pennsylvania facilities. Despite the success, the North Jackson, Ohio, native has not entered a World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series event since 2014; qualifying for the Silver Cup main event in mid-July.

“I wouldn’t say there is a lot of pressure on us, we just want to race at the highest level we can and do our best to represent those who support us,” Sodeman explained. “The Outlaws are the Outlaws for a reason. They are the fastest on the planet. I think if we can draw well and take advantage of a solid qualifying lap, we can put ourselves in a good position for the entire program. We just need to take advantage of every lap that we get on the race track and race as hard as we can.”

“I can’t thank everyone enough. We’ve had an amazing year. I’m excited to get back to Lernerville Speedway.”
