Jared Miley Prepares for Battle Against Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series;
Kicks-Off Season with Top-Ten During Earl Hill Memorial at Tyler County Speedway

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (April 18, 2016) – Jared Miley will continue his 2016 campaign on Friday evening, April 22, at the Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio. “The Jet” will join the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at the state-of-the-art facility, a first-ever appearance by the national touring group at the 3/8 mile, high-banked, dirt and clay oval. Miley, a Western Pennsylvania heavy hitter in the super late model ranks, has yet to score a national level victory, but has ten thousand reasons to do so on Friday night. The Pittsburgh native will go head-to-head with the nation’s best, including current Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point leader Jonathan Davenport.
“We always look forward to racing against the Lucas Oil Late Models,” explained Jared Miley. “They are the best in the business. Our goal from the start has always been to race with those guys as much as possible, as well as be competitive. We’ve been close a few times during national touring events in the past, so I think our chances are good. It all starts with qualifying. We’ll work to put ourselves in a solid starting position and get to the front.”
Miley, pilot of the Jared Miley Racing, Jay’s Auto Wrecking, Sprague Farm & Brew Works, Keystone Alliance Insurance Services,LLC of Spring City, Maloney’s Classic Cars of Meadville, Junior’s Cores & Recycling, Colussy Chevrolet, No. H1, will enter the upcoming Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event with two starts under his belt in 2016, one of which resulting in a top-ten finish against the ULMS Racing Series in the heart of West Virginia. The defending ULMS champion finished seventh during the $5,000-to-win, Earl Hill Memorial at Tyler County Speedway on Saturday, April 16; the first point event of the 2016 ULMS Racing Series season.
“I think we were better than where we finished,” explained Matt Miley, crew chief for Jared Miley Racing. “We started third, but spun and had to work our way back toward the front. Regardless, I’m proud of our team. We never give up and keep pushing even if things don’t go our way. We’ll work as hard as we can to beat the best this weekend and get that first career Lucas Oil win.”
