Jared Miley set for action-packed holiday weekend in Pennsylvania
PITTSBURGH, PA (May 22, 2017) – Late model hotshot Jared Miley will spend his Memorial Day weekend crisscrossing Pennsylvania, as he is scheduled to enter three super late model events in three days at three different dirt ovals. The former Lernerville Speedway and Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway super late model track champion will visit Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway, Port Royal Speedway and Dog Hollow Speedway during his holiday travels, igniting the weekend with the $4,000-to-win, Johnny Grum Tribute on Friday, May 26, at Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway.
“We took last Friday and Saturday off to prepare for Memorial Day weekend,” Jared Miley said, driver of the Jared Miley Racing/Jay’s Auto Wrecking/Keystone Alliance Insurance Services, LLC of Spring City/Maloney’s Classic Cars of Meadville/Junior’s Cores & Recycling/Colussy Chevrolet/No. H1. “We enjoy swings like this. It gets us away from home a little bit without having to worry about extensive traveling. Hopefully things go well right from the start. This team works hard and is plenty due for a win.”
“The Jet” Jared Miley will continue his holiday venture through The Keystone State with a visit to the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. The Pittsburgh native will enter the super late model portion of the Bob Weikert Memorial awarding $3,000 on Saturday evening, May 27. It will be Miley’s first visit to the Juniata County Fairgrounds this season.
The $4,000-to-win, Shawn “Sheetz” McGarvey Memorial at Dog Hollow Speedway will conclude Miley’s Memorial Day weekend swing on Sunday evening, May 28. Miley is a former winner at Dog Hollow Speedway, as well as the defending Shawn “Sheetz” McGarvey Memorial event champion; one of four victories at the Indiana County venue during the last two seasons.
“Dog Hollow Speedway has been good to us during the last few years,” Miley stated. “I think we have a great shot at defending our Sheetz Memorial title.”
