Miley in action at PPMS earlier this year

Pittsburgh, PA) South Park, Pennsylvania’s Jared Miley is set for almost a full week of super late model action to help kick off the month of June. The Colussy Chevrolet/Octane Graphix ‘H1’ will be competing at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania tomorrow evening, June 1st, before hopping on board with the annual Appalachian Mountain Dirt Late Model Speedweek Series for a possible 6 day stretch of racing. The current super late model point leader at Lernerville Speedway, and the entire Jared Miley Racing team, is anxious to hit the road and compete with some of the best dirt late model teams in the region. Drivers from all across the upper northeast will be in tow during the entire speedweek; guaranteeing a true test for the JMR program.

“We are just really excited to get on the road and race with a lot of good guys” explained Matt Miley who is the Crew Chief of the ‘H1’ team, “We are ready to go out and race big money shows and hopefully pull in some good results…this will be a true test to our team so hopefully we are in the championship hunt by the Dog Hollow Speedway event on Tuesday so we are motivated to go to the finale at Lincoln Speedway on Wednesday.”

The Jared Miley Racing operation will skip out on the first round of Appalachian Mountain Speedweek tomorrow evening, June 1st, at Big Diamond Speedway so that they are able to maintain their Lernerville Speedway point lead. On Saturday evening, June 2nd, the ‘H1’ will travel to Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland for round 2 of the annual super late model speedweek. This will be the first time Miley has ever competed at the Hagerstown half mile at night; only having daytime show experience at the famous facility. From there, Jared Miley Racing will head to Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Virginia on Sunday, June 3rd for round 3 of Appalachian Speedweek. After their only Virginia appearance on the speedweek schedule, Miley and crew will head back to familiar territory and visit Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania on Monday, June 4th. Miley is no stranger to Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex, as the South Park native picked up at UFO victory at the facility last summer. The current Lernerville Speedway point leader will look to use that past experience to score a win at The Knob in the coming days.

“We got a win at Roaring Knob last year and we have some experience at most of the tracks on the speedweek schedule” said Matt Miley, “We don’t know a lot about Hagerstown at night and we don’t know a whole lot about Winchester in the recent years…but all in all we should be fine.”

Dog Hollow Speedway in Strongstown, Pennsylvania will host the speedweek series for round 5 on Tuesday, June 5th. If Miley is high enough in the Appalachian Mountain Dirt Late Model Speedweek Series points, the team will travel to the finale at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, June 6th. If the team is not within the championship chase, Miley will head back to the South Park, Pennsylvania shop and take a few days off before racing again next weekend.

“We are not real sure about the Lincoln Speedway event just yet” said Matt Miley, “I would hate to say it, but I hope Mother Nature helps us out and takes out the Big Diamond event allowing us to be a point contender for the speedweek title…we will just have to wait and see how things play out up to Dog Hollow’s event…if we are in the hunt, we will go to Lincoln on Wednesday.”
