Jared Miley will join RUSH for Jook George Steel City Classic

PITTSBURGH, Pa. (August 9, 2018) – After a weekend in southern Ohio participating in a pair of Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week programs at Brushcreek Motorsports Complex and Portsmouth Raceway Park, respectively, Pittsburgh’s own Jared Miley will return to late model competition a little closer to home, this time visiting ovals well within two hours of his Western Pennsylvania race shop.
Miley, driver of the Joe Corrado-owned/ Blue Mountain Energy/Penn Star Ventures/Colussy Chevrolet/Jay’s Auto Wrecking/No. 10 super late model, will participate in two levels of late model competition during his two-race venture through Pennsylvania. “The Jet” will open his weekend with the $3,000-to-win Muss Weyant Special at Bedford Speedway on Friday evening, August 10. Miley is certainly no stranger to super late model competition at the Bedford Fairgrounds half-mile, actually earning a pair of podium finishes during action in 2018.
Making the transition from super late model competition to crate late model competition, Jared Miley will continue the upcoming weekend with a visit to “Dirt’s Monster Half-Mile” at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (PPMS) on Saturday, August 11. Paying tribute to his uncle, Ben Miley, Jared Miley will fly the retro “Pink Panther” colors and familiar No. 99 during his RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series appearance, vying for the $5,000 top prize that is up for grabs during the annual Jook George Steel City Classic.
Jared Miley and Joe Corrado will enter the weekend with seven victories on the season, one of which at PPMS during the annual Herb Scott Memorial. “The Jet” owns late model victories at five different tracks thus far in 2018, checking off wins at three states in the process.
