Pittsburgh, PA (September 8th, 2014) – After having to wait an extra day due to wet weather, Jared Miley earned his eighth super late model victory of the 2014 season on Sunday evening, September 7th. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native earned his eighth win of the season at the Dog Hollow Speedway near Strongstown, Pennsylvania; during the ‘Flyin’ Floyd Kline Memorial’ Labor Day Special. Jared ‘The Jet’ Miley started ninth in the 30-lap/ $2,000-to-win special event, eventually taking command with less than five laps to go to secure the Sunday night win. The ‘Flyin’ Floyd Kline Memorial’ was actually scheduled to take shape over the Labor Day holiday weekend, but was pushed back to September 6th for weather reasons. The event was postponed once again from September 6th to September 7th. It was Miley’s first Dog Hollow Speedway win of 2014, and now has victories at five different venues in two states this season.
Jared Miley, who pilots the Jared Miley Racing, Colussy Chevrolet, Octane Graphix, Brougher’s Machine Shop, Rocket Chassis, FullyInjected.com, no. H1 super late model, will be back in action this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 12th, 13th & 14th for the 26th Annual ‘Pittsburgher 100.’ The 2014 edition of the ‘Pittsburgher 100’ at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will feature a practice session and two full nights of competition; beginning with practice on Friday, September 12th. September 13th and September 14th will feature two complete shows for the super late models; each highlighted with a $5,000-to-win/50-lap main event. The weekend will be capped-off with the rescheduled ‘Herb Scott Memorial’ on Sunday, September 14th. Jared Miley has earned two super late model victories at the Imperial, Pennsylvania half-mile already in 2014, and will search for the $10,000 sweep this Saturday and Sunday.
