Austintown, Ohio – 8/7/2012] ‘The Man From Austintown’ prepares for a busy upcoming weekend in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio, as a possible three race swing is in store for the 305/Outlaw Sprint Warrior sprint car competitor. Justin Whitesell, an Austintown, Ohio native and Team Fully Injected member, is locked and loaded for three full nights of sprint car action this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday – August 10th, 11th, and 12th. The former ‘Outlaw Sprint Warrior’ winner at Mercer Raceway Park will compete at three different race tracks in three consecutive days this weekend; giving the pilot of the familiar FullyInjected.com ’17’ plenty of lap time and opportunities to park in victory lane. The upcoming weekend will begin on Friday evening at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio; move to Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania on Saturday; and wrap-up on Sunday evening at Sportsmans Speedway in Knox, Pennsylvania.
Wayne County Speedway will offer $800 to the winner of this Friday’s 305/Outlaw Sprint Warrior feature winner. The rare appearance by the 305/Outlaw Sprint Warriors at the Orrville, Ohio venue will be co-headlined with the ‘410’ sprint cars. Whitesell competed at Wayne County Speedway last Friday night; racing his 5.3 Liter GM powered ‘Outlaw Sprint Warrior’ sprint car against the ‘410’ regulars. The FullyInjected.com ’17’ would finish 12th out of the 19 cars that were entered.
“We had a lot of fun racing with the 410’s last weekend at Wayne County Speedway” said Justin Whitesell, “We knew we were under powered but it gave us a great opportunity to get a feel for the track before this weekend’s 305/Outlaw Sprint Warrior special…we wanted to be comfortable with the place.”
Just Whitesell’s Wayne County Speedway visit this Friday night, August 10th, will be followed up by visits to two Western Pennsylvania tracks including Mercer Raceway Park and Sportsmans Speedway. Mercer Raceway Park, which hosts 305/Outlaw Sprint Warrior sprint car competition on a weekly basis, will offer an increased purse during this weekend’s event. Whitesell has one win at the Mercer oval in 2012, and has two career victories at the track. The ’17’ team plans to earn number three this Saturday night.
Sportsmans Speedway near Knox, Pennsylvania hosts racing every Sunday evening in Western Pennsylvania. The Outlaw Sprint Warrior/305 sprint cars will be featured in this Sunday’s evening program; a long with the 358 Modifieds, and several other classes of micro sprints and stock cars. Whitesell visited Sportsmans Speedway back on Sunday, July 29th and recorded a runner-up finish. If everything goes as planned this weekend, ‘The Man From Austintown’ should come out on top, and hopefully have a perfect record.
