Justin Whittall cleared to return to action; GLSS triple-header ahead

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

VINCENTOWN, N.J. (July 17, 2018) – After missing several weeks of competition due to concussion-related symptoms, the result of a violent crash during a 360/358 Challenge event at Lincoln (Pa.) Speedway in early June, Vincentown, New Jersey’s Justin Whittall is ready to return to action, anxious to jumpstart the midpoint of his season with a trio of Great Lakes Super Sprints (GLSS) starts in Michigan.

Whittall’s upcoming weekend in Michigan will feature three starts in three days at two facilities, first visiting Tri-City Motor Speedway near Auburn on Friday, July 20. Action will continue on Saturday and Sunday, July 21 & 22, with a two-day visit to I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa.

Although absent from the cockpit for nearly a month, Whittall does have some early season success and momentum on his side and will enter the weekend with a pair of top-ten finishes to his credit, one of which accomplished during the United Racing Club (URC) season opener at Carolina (N.C.) Speedway.

“I’m excited to get back in a sprint car. We would have been back sooner, but the doctor didn’t ‘OK’ us to return until now,” Justin Whittall explained, driver of the JW Motorsports/Atlantic Utility Trailer/Brotherton Brewing Company/Pioneer Auto Body/Worldwide Bearings/No. 67 sprint car. “We’ve had this road trip to Michigan circled on our calendar all season. I enjoy getting out on the road and visiting new places. We had success during our last big road trip when we opened the year in the Carolinas. Hopefully we can continue that trend.”
