By Fully Injected Motorsports:

ELIDA, OH (May 30, 2017) – National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee, Rick Ferkel, has officially joined forces with Max Stambaugh and Ray Marshall Motorsports, ready to embark on the remaining Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions schedule beginning Friday evening, June 2, at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. Stambaugh, who is currently fifth in the Arctic Cat All Star championship standings, as well as the Series’ top Rookie of the Year contender, hopes to stir new momentum with Rick Ferkel as he chases a first-ever Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions victory.

“Rick and I had an opportunity to work together recently, but to have him officially a part of this team is pretty exciting,” Max Stambaugh explained, pilot of the Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine and Fabricators/Fastenal of Kenton/No. 33M. “He has a lot of knowledge and a lot of positive experience. With the added help of David Diller, who will be the Car Chief, I think we have a sound combination. I’m excited to get to Western Pennsylvania.”

Once competition at Lernerville Speedway is complete, “Mad Max” Stambaugh and Ray Marshall Motorsports will move forward and continue Arctic Cat All Star action in Western Pennsylvania on Saturday, June 3, at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. Stambaugh will enter the weekend with one top-ten finish in eight main event starts, most recently finishing 16th at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, May 26, out of 48 entries. The Elida, Ohio, native won the evening’s B-main to solidify his main event starting position.

“I can’t thank Ray Marshall and the entire crew enough for sticking behind me and allowing me to live out my dream,” Stambaugh expressed. “This is an exciting experience. The weather has been tough on us lately, but we keep plugging away. Hopefully Mother Nature keeps things under control this weekend and we can get two, solid starts in the books.”
