MYERSTOWN, Pa. (July 8, 2019) – A busy schedule that included three events in four days, the ‘Myerstown Missile’ Brent Marks made the most of his recent World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series stretch and padded his 2019 statistics by attaining a pair of top-five finishes, the first occurring at Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, South Dakota, on July 3, and the second at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin, on July 6.

Impressive enough, each of Marks’ top-five outcomes were the product of improvement, first rallying from ninth to finish fourth at Brown County, capped with a head-turning hard charge from 16th to finish fourth during Cedar Lake Speedway’s Friday night program that was eventually contested on Saturday [postponed one day due to Mother Nature]. In fact, Marks was in the hunt for a victory at Brown County, flirting with the top-three before a series of cautions halted his forward momentum.

Although unable to match his top-five performance during Cedar Lake’s finale, Marks still managed to impress all of those in attendance by ending his evening with another Hard Charger Award, this time rallying from 19th on the grid to finish 13th.

“That was a lot of fun. I’m proud of my team and what we were able to accomplish. We have the speed that it takes to win races. We have a lot of great people who back our efforts, so I’m thrilled things are starting to come together for everyone,” Brent Marks explained, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19 sprint car. “This kind of momentum is very important, especially with so many big events coming up quick on the schedule. I’m excited.”

Brent Marks and Brent Marks Racing will continue their 2019 campaign with a pair of programs in Michigan and Wisconsin, first visiting Hartford Speedway in Hartford, Michigan, on Friday, July 12. The weekend will conclude the following evening with a Saturday night stop at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin.

Marks is certainly no stranger to action at Wilmot Raceway, as the third-year Outlaw is the defending World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series winner at the southern Wisconsin venue.
