MYERSTOWN, Pa. (September 16, 2019) – Despite kicking off his final week on the West Coast with a discouraging 21st place finish at Placerville Speedway on Wednesday, September 11, the result of an incident just beyond the midpoint of the 40-lapper, the ‘Myerstown Missile’ Brent Marks rebounded to the best of his ability and scored 12th and 14th place finishes during starts at Stockton Dirt Track and Calistoga Speedway on Friday and Saturday, September 13 & 14, respectively.
Certainly the highlight of his weekend in the Golden State, Marks’ 12th place outcome at Stockton Dirt Track was the result of a charge from the inside of row nine.
“We didn’t have the night we wanted at Placerville, but we were able to rebound a little bit and get some rhythm going at Stockton and Calistoga,” Brent Marks explained, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19 sprint car. “It was a fun West Coast Swing, but I think we are all ready to head back towards home.”
Brent Marks and Brent Marks Racing will continue their third, full year on the road with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series with a visit to Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City, Kansas, on Friday and Saturday, September 20 & 21.
