FOREST, Ohio (September 16, 2019) – Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports have been successful across the map in 2019, and that statistic only broadened during the recent weekend, as the Forest, Ohio-based race team earned their fifth victory of the season, this time making the trip to victory lane at Gas City Speedway in Gas City, Indiana, on Friday, September 13.

A thrilling victory, to say the least, Westfall’s march to the top of the podium commenced from the inside of row three. Taking command for the first time on lap 20, Westfall’s tenure at the front of the field was eventually disturbed by a pair of late-race cautions, the second occurring on the final lap which ultimately set-up a one-lap dash to the finish. Suffice it to say, the ‘Bumblebee Express’ held strong.

Although not a victory, Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports’ visit to Lawrenceburg Speedway on Saturday, September 14, also resulted in a productive outcome, first winning their respective heat race before bouncing forward from sixth to fourth during the evening’s main event.

“What a weekend. I couldn’t be more proud of this team. To say we have five wins across five different tracks; that just goes to show how versatile we are as a program,” Ray Marshall said, owner of the Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Crazy Lady Restaurant and Bar/Hempy Water/DPI Ink/No. 33M sprint car. “I’m confident in saying this won’t be our last win of the year. I’m sure Matt and the guys have a few more up their sleeves.”

“That was a lot of fun,” Westfall said of his victory at Gas City, who also owns wins at Atomic Speedway, Fremont Speedway, Limaland Motorsports Park, and Kokomo Speedway in 2019. “I can’t say enough about this team. We have a special connection and we’ve been fortunate enough to carry a lot of success this season. I’m sure that will continue.”

Upcoming plans for Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports remain uncertain. Fans are encouraged to stay alert on social media for continuing updates.
